We arrived at the Antis hotel tired after a long taxi ride from sabiha airport (although i suspect the taxi driver was going in circles- tip: prebook your transfer) It is in a small narrow street but when we entered we were warmly welcomed by Ercan(?) and although there was a problem with our booking (that was not the hotels...

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Istanbul for Valentines Feb 2016 , and to date this is the most amasing city ive ever visted. Such amasing culture. This hotel was fantastic, right from check-in we were welcomed with traditional tea, while the concerige sat with us and talked us through an easy to follow map, and recommended things...

- very central location. 8 minutes walk to blue mosque, 3 more minutes to tram station. - breakfast is rather basic - very friendly service - rooms are nice and clean. Not a lot of storage space though. The train lines are right behind the hotel so night trains might wake you up if you are on 1st floor. They...

This hotel has beautiful views and is in an excellent location, it is very easy to walk to so many of the major attractions and to the tram stops. We had wonderful views from our room on the top floor. The room was very well presented and the bed comfortable. The staff were very pleasant to deal with and helpful,...

Being my 4th visit to Istanbul unfortunately a last minute booking meant I couldnt get my usual hotel (Arden City Hotel) and from pictures and price decided to go with Antis Hotel. VERY BIG MISTAKE! On arrival no greetings or help with luggage. Further rooms booked were not available and they spilt the family over 3 floors. Asked for information...

This hotel is welcoming and hosted by friendly staff. Level of English is proficient. Breakfast was basic, yet you can skip finding a restaurant for the purpose the first thing in the morning. The hotel boasts a gorgeous seaview rooftop terrace with a bar, but - at the time of visit in Sep 2016 - the bar was closed and...

Excellent hotel lovely staff who were Arkan, Serdar, Anes and Ayden. Stayed there with my family and kids for 5 nights. Very local to everything. Walking distance to everything. Family really enjoyed it. Will visit again. The breakfast was lovely. Staff were helpful with organising excursions and directions

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
