what a gem! I just spent a long weekend - Fri-Sun nights inclusive - in Istanbul and had the good fortune to stay at the 5ODA: great location, everything to hand but no tacky-touristy feel in the least, nice big room and light! (all glass one end, big windows the other) built in kitchenette, funky furniture & original-informal decor... and...

5oda is a boutique hotel in the heart of Istanbul, the best choice for quality of the rooms, services, location, hospitality and professionalism of the staff. Me and my fiance stayed at 5oda a week and we miss the hospitality of the owners, Kazim and Sennur, a beautiful turkish couple, they are the perfect hosts, they speak fluently english and...

I have delayed writing this review for some time now (which I regret every passing moment as I reminisce about our stay in Istanbul) just because I cannot find adequate words to describe our stay at 5 Oda in Istanbul... it was AWESOME!!!! Location: This boutique hotel is situated in the heart of the city right next to "Istiklal Caddesi"...

We had 5 nights at 5oda. And we loved it. The staff speak perfect english and are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast delivered to the room was wonderful. The location is perfect - close to Istiklal Caddesi, but not too close. Superb restaurants and bars just near by.

5oda was the perfect antidote to a sometimes grueling 4-night late-September stay in Istanbul. Though only a 45-second walk downhill from the bustle of Istiklal Caddesi (a busy pedestrian shopping strip), 5oda is so quiet and comfortable as to be in another time zone. We slept soundly, and woke to a yummy breakfast brought up to our rooms each morning....

5oda hotel is in many respects an ideal place: central in Beyoglu, no tourist bustle, a great hospitality, walking distance to the Tunel, metro, shops, cafe´s, restaurants etc. And every morning after a telephoncall an fantastic breakfast in your own room!

My husband and I recently returned from a 5 night stay at the 5oda in Istanbul. I really have litle to say other than...just about perfect. First, the location is IDEAL. Istiklal Caddesi (shopping and nightlife and excellent people watching) is at the end of the block, but the hotel is set away from the hustle and bustle. So it's...

5oda is everything my husband and I were looking for in a small hotel - great location, unique rooms and friendly staff. We stayed 4 nights and after the first night were moved to the 3rd floor which offered a better view. The rooms are modern, chic and comfortable. Having breakfast delivered to our room - and a french press...

Warmest of welcomes, impeccable service and assistance (airport transfer service recommended), delicious and generous breakfast in room as late as you like, spacious and very well equipped room with all facilities (incl free wireless) except iron. Really comfy bed. Booked Rm 4 as only one with balcony but might consider top floor Rm 5 next time so as not to...

Firstly (and very importantly), 5 ODA is in an excellent location being very close to Istiklal in Beyoglu but located in a quiet and peaceful sidestreet. There is a Metro and the funicular at the top of the street making connections to the Tram system very easy and avoiding the steep climb up the hill to Galata when returning from...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
