I spent in this hotel with my friends when we came to watch football at Galatasaray stadium, average hotel but cleaned rooms, big lobby, need improvement in their English language to train their staff more. It's location is very good near taksim area and all restaurants and some pubs. Hope they improve their services nowadays.

I was here for a week with friends and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location. The rooms and bathrooms are dated, but the staff is friendly and everything was in order. Breakfast offers the basics – cereal, bread, cheese, some sliced meats, olives, water, coffee, juice, etc. Perfect if you're on a budget!

we stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, its an average and cheap hotel, but clean, the best thing about this hotel is the location, very close to isteklal street, and 10min walk to taksim square, and very close to night clubs,it is not a good hotel to stay for those who want quiet places, it is too noisy.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, 10 minutes to underground but my room were really small that bathroom's door could not open completely because it hit my bed. Breakfast was ok, contains everything you need in the morning but the restaurant was like in the basement where there is no ventilation.

its a nice hotel for those who wanna get a good night sleep and enjoy the city the next day for a very reasonable price. i.e: small rooms and below average breakfast. on the other hand clean rooms and very friendly staff and an excellent location exactly 3 minutes from istiklal street and safe.

We just got back from Monopol Hotel on a one week vacation to Istanbul. We travelled as a group of 8 adults and 3 children. The hotel location is SUPERB, 5 min walk to Istiklal street center. 10 min walk to Sishane Bus and metro stations for easy access to all of Istanbul. However, that is just about it, the...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

“Stay away from 1st floor rooms, they are basement rooms and room 106 in particular. DON'T ask for a king size bed room, go for a twin bed room and add the beds, twin rooms are relatively bigger and better (207, 307, 407, etc.)”
