The MGallery is located in the Beyoglu district, with steep streets (beware if mobility problems) 5/10 minutes walk from the ultra center, full of restaurants, very lively Beyoglu. But there is already choice right next to the hotel! metro and tram nearby. Crossing the nearby bridge, which is 400 meters, you arrive in the Golden Horn district that will attract you, like all tourists! We received a very good reception from receptionists, concierges and guest relations. You reach your room by a magnificent elevator with a magical view of the Golden Horn. The room is tastefully decorated and is very comfortable. The marble bathroom is also nice, as well as toiletries that smell very good. Breakfast is taken in a beautiful room, there are many choices, and even if it is not highlighted you can ask for scrambled eggs or an omelet. We did not test the steam room, as it seemed too expensive, and did not have the opportunity to test the restaurant. Overall, we felt cocooned in this hotel and if the opportunity arises, we will return.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights on two occasions in late April 2023. This is very much a boutique hotel. It is housed in a former bank building and at various points inside you can see the remnants including an old safe door and safety deposit boxes. The rooms are very modern and tastefully furnished with very modern bathrooms. On the first occasions we had a room facing the courtyard and could even seen the old city skyline in the distance. On second occasion we had a bigger room facing the street, which was very light but did get some street noise late at night. The restaurant and cafe/bar areas are very nice, especially the rooftop restaurant, Mesai, which has great views and wonderful food - the only drawback is, like many restaurants in Istanbul, they do allow smoking. Location -wise the restaurant is only a 10 minute walk to Galata Bridge and a convenient tram station - we walked to or from the old city a few times in the course of our time in Istanbul. Staff were friendly and helpful and as it is not a large hotel it certainly feels more personal and welcoming. We hope to get back one day and this is where we would stay again.

I have been to 12 countries in my life and I have to say that this was one of the most enjoyable times staying in a hotel in my life. Everyone there was so friendly and made sure I didn't need anything everything was clean very immaculate I got to speak with the general manager, and he is a great person made sure that I didn't need anything any transportation and gave me tips on other places to visit around the world. This is the second M Gallary hotel that I have stayed at and they are both five-star and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I would certainly recommend it this hotel to anyone solo or as a family. The area is wonderful and quiet at night. Lots of restaurants in the area I could go on and on, but I will leave it with one of the best hotels in the world.

I had booked a room with a view of Galata Tower several months ago, but the hotel seemed to have overbooked the guests and changed my room assignment to a room with a view of the wall of some shabby building. The reason I booked this hotel was to have a view of the Galata Tower.
The hotel explained absurdly that the room assigned to me was an upgraded balcony room, but my original goal was to have a view of the Galata Tower, and if that was not possible, the hotel should have informed me in advance, and in that case, I would have booked somewhere else.
I was provided with transportation to the airport as compensation, but I did not come to this hotel, which is not cheap, to take a taxi to the airport.
Also, I checked in after 15:00, but the room was still being cleaned, so it was surprising that I got to experience a maid cleaning the room. Due to the hotel's absurd reservation change, I was unable to rest or wash in my room at the time I wanted, so I was only able to check in late at night.
The road to the restaurant for breakfast is under construction and is full of dust and the smell of cigarette smoke. The breakfast food quality wasn't that good either.
And it is very disappointing that there are no basic wine glasses or glass cups in the room, there are not enough amenities, and the bathroom and room are small.
The only positive point about the hotel is that the public bathhouse is historic and clean. Absolutely dissatisfied. I feel foolish for believing that this was a 5-star hotel run by Sofitel.

The hotel is new and is located in an elegant street of the tourist area of Galata in a great location to walk to both the historical part of Sultanahmet and the modern part around Taxim. I took an offer without breakfast, but in the end we added it because with the prices that are around it is worth doing the one at the buffet. The restaurant is great and offers an amazing view of the city. Very attentive staff and room with wonderful bathroom, equipped with all amenities.

This hotel was booked for us by our travel agency.
The SUPERIOR room was quite cramped, with a large king-size bed that was positioned so that it was very difficult to get in and out of the bathroom.
The bathroom suffered from 'design over practicality' in that there was a lack of horizontal surfaces on which to place anything and there was no plug in the sink.
The superior room entitled us to a free 30 minutes in the hammam and sauna. We booked this but, when we got down there, they clearly had no idea that we were coming. This was confirmed by the fact that they ushered us into some small ante-room that was barely warm. Our suspicion was that they had already turned everything off !
We went through into a larger room - which was hotter - but were then rather rudely told to get out of there. Not a pleasant experience and hardly likely to make us pay for the full hammam experience.
Breakfast was not included and we decided to find a cafe for breakfast as the hotel was charging EUR 25 pp for breakfast.
Whilst the location was good, the experience was not one that I would recommend.

I fell in love with this hotel from the very first minute of my stay! Wonderful aroma, delicious breakfasts, picturesque views of two magnificent sights of Istanbul: the Galata Tower and the Golden Horn, the location is super. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, etro cosmetics 👍 the hotel is located in a former bank building, completely renovated. The hotel also has a hammam, which was opened back in 1720. and, in keeping with its original style, maintains a 300-year tradition, it has been one of the best for two years running. The hotel is so wonderful also thanks to the service and staff. Shahriban is the best hotel employee, very friendly and sociable. Thanks to her responsiveness and attentiveness, guests can easily navigate both the hotel and locations around Istanbul. Shahriban immediately responds to any requests from guests and resolves all issues. When I return to Istanbul, even if I don’t stay at this hotel, I will definitely come to meet dear Shahriban! Thank you for four unforgettable days spent within the walls of an incredible hotel!

We stayed in the Galata twice this holiday, totalling 4 days. All personnel was extremely friendly and helpful. We booked 1502 which is a top floor room with a large terrace/balcony with a view on the Galata tower and the river. To get upstairs you use the glass elevator with a spectacular view on the Asian side of Istanbul. The room itself is not too big but has 3 cupboards to store your stuff. The bed was excellent, with nice fluffy pillows. The good thing about the aircon is that you don’t hear it, a big plus! The bathroom is a little cramped with a weird sink with limited space to put stuff on, but has a nice large rain shower and suffices. Breakfast had a lot of choices, with good bread.
To get to the hotel takes about 45 minutes, as Istanbul traffic is horrific. Its only 1.100 TL from the airport with a normal taxi from the taxi rank, which equates to about 25 euro. Once in the hotel just get an Istanbul card for the tram and charge it, its only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Maybe good to know that Istanbul is extremely hilly. Lots of stairs and climbs.
For food there are many options, reception can arrange a roof terrace seat for you, only 5 minutes from the hotel with a spectacular view over the river, bridge and the mosks.

We stayed in a delux room with a great view over to the old quarter; the room was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and contained everything we needed. The location was just perfect for exploring both the Beyoglu district with it’s varied selection of bars and restaurents, the old quarter (including the Spice Bazaar, Hagia Soia and Blue Mosque), or hoping on a ferry across to the “Asian” side of the city.
Whilst all of this was exactly as expected, it was the fantastic service received from the staff that really made this such a great place to stay! Most notable were Hedir and Jan (apologies for any incorrect spellings) - always very polite, smiling greetings as we passed through.
The stand out for us was that even though we checked out on the Friday morning, they offered us the to chance to use the facilities that evening prior to heading to the airport, which enabled us to enjoy another full day exploring the city comfortable in the knowledge that we could shower and change before starting the long trek back to Australia. The extra special surprise was that we were allowed to use the hamam (we were only expecting a shower), which just added another thing for us to do when we come back (to make full use of the facilities)!
We’re planning on returning to Istanbul next year and will certainly be coming back to the Galata.

The structure was a bank in the ancient banking street, very particular, very Turkish style, recently renovated rooms, the double rooms are quite comfortable, the twin ones are very small. The reception is a small desk that can accommodate a maximum of 2 staff members, almost always only 1, and only a few people speak English well. They didn't want to call taxis saying it wasn't possible because there wasn't a taxi station nearby, but 20 meters away the Marriott called taxis for all customers, so we only called very expensive private drivers! Let's not talk about the restaurant: be careful to read and convert the menu carefully because the wines are crazy expensive! And the staff doesn't speak 1 word of English! I had a bad experience, they pretended not to understand and only served the wines they wanted at a business dinner and the beating was terrible: €4000 of wine for 43 people (and not even everyone drank!) Not even in Dubai Palm Jumeirah we spent a lot for the same dinner! Be careful...Furthermore, the area is not safe, many refugees send their children to ask for alms in the evening and then around the corner you can hear the children crying and screaming! Shocking!
