Great breakfast and accommodation. Excellent location in the old city. Great value for money! I was travelling alone and in Istanbul for the first time. Could not have asked for a better hotel, location, views and service!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a room on top floor with balcony and nice view of Blue Mosque, which is beautiful lit up at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very good, easy walking distance to local restaurants and to shopping. There is a large park behind hotel near Blue Mosque and...

Excellent location, walk out of the rear hotel doors and you are at the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Good choice of food for breakfast.. Helpful and friendly staff. Room had a single and double bed. Only the call to prayer was noticable otherwise very quiet. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby..

Situated close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque with a rooftop view of both buildings. Fantastic location in the old city. Very clean and rooms were serviced daily. Friendly staff who were happy to arrange a taxi for us back to the airport and recommended a few local places. Service prior to arriving was excellent as we had asked...

I am staying at the hotel for 4 days and couldn't be more happier. Great room, clean and newly renovated breakfast area. Rooms are reasonably priced and you are in midle of historical buildings. Breakfast is healthy and choices are adequate. Remember this is 4 stars hotel. We got massive room for only €60.

this hotel was recommended by BA as a 4* converted Ottoman house, it sounded appealing being described in fanciful manner as ornate interiors with handmade furniture and stunning views of the Bosphorus from the breakfast room - an amazing feat given that the breakfast room is in a windowless basement and furnished by IKEA, the hotel has no café, the...

Great independent hotel. Location: Very well located - the rear entrance literally opens up into the gardens of the Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia. Each are no more then 2-3mins walk away (that's door to door). The Basilica Cistern and Sultan Ahmet tram station are both only a 3/4min walk. The Sultan Hurrem Hammam is on your door step. Topkapi,...

Very comfortable and convenient location. Excellent service from the staff and the manager. Being so closely situated to the blue mosque, Hagia Sofia, the grand bazaar and just around the corner from Topkapi Museum, it made the perfect location for a five day stay.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
