This hostel is located in a perfect location with quick access to all major sights. Just a block away from the historical and impressive Galata Tower, steps from shops, cafes and restaurants, and easy travel to mosques and other architectural wonders. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable for budget travelers and hostel seekers. Staff was quick to respond...

Hostels is located in a top location. Close to Galata tower, ferries metro and taksim. Staff very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. People from literally all over the world staying here. For business and leisure. The hostel offers lots of group activities. Including bar crawls and boat parties. When I stayed there we all had a good social night at...

The BEST hostel in Istanbul. I stayed in 5 different ones and this was by far the best: AWESOME location across the street from Galata Tower ( and surrounded by tasty and cheap restaurants and coffee shops, easy walk to sultanahmet and taksim), easy to meet other travelers, really clean, super comfy beds, big rooms, free towels, 6 TL laundry...

As long as you don't mind steep, cobbled hills, you should probably stay here. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is excellent for both meeting like-minded travellers or some solo chilling. Breakfast is excellent (bread, fruit, cheese, jams, olives, vegetables, hard boiled eggs), and there's a great cafe with patio attached. I stayed in the 6 dorm....

We had an amazing stay at World House, the staff were so helpful and really helped advise us on how we should spend our 4 days in this huge and beautiful city. We loved our room which felt much more like a hotel than a hostel, but yet it was also great to sit in the lounge and chill out,...

I had the best experience with the people and location of this hostel. I'm sure it has the best view of Istambul. In World House you not only find a place to stay, but a place to share and make new friends. I definitely will recommend it. Thank you!

I love this hostel. Every time I visit Istanbul I go back and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. It's in a fantastic central location and there's a grey cafe out front where you can sit and watch everyone wander by. It's also very social and there's always people to meet and do things with. I definitely recommend staying...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
