Stayed here for 2 nights to continue on after a tour through Turkey. The location was very good, reception area nice and clean. Room was a little smaller than I was expecting, however ok for a short stay. I received a nice gift as we left of Turkish delights and an apple tea set

The hotel is very nicely located. The nearest light rail stop being Gulhane. You could take the light rail one stop to Sultanahmet (or just walk it) to see the biggies like Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The included buffet breakfast was very nice. Coffee, juices, breads, honeycomb, yoghurt, breakfast mezes (sort of like dips), meats and cheeses. Everybody spoke...

Hotel is located perfectly in the old town, everything is in 10 minutes walking distance and the tram is only a minutes walk away. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a clean hotel situated near all the major locations I would recommend this hotel for a great price.

The taxis didn't want to pull up in front of the hotel. It's kind of a pedestrian street with lots of outdoor cafes and restaurants. Small lobby, small rooms, the basics. Very friendly staff. Awesome breakfast served on the top floor. Grab a seat by the window. Nice walk to Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia...

Initially upon check in we were given a very small room facing the street, with what is considered a view room. When we asked for a bigger room we were immediately accommodated, and our second room was considerably bigger and more comfortable. It did not have any view however, which was insignificant for us. The room was very clean. The...

Great location close to Gulhane tram stop, I walked everywhere! The staff are really nice, as is the breakfast + it's reasonably priced. I'll be staying there again on my next trip to Istanbul. I'd recommend paying the little bit more to upgrade from an economy room.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
