The location of the Anadolu hotel could not be better for sightseeing. It is within a short walk of all the major attractions (hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern etc) and nearby some fantastic restaurants. On the other hand, it is definitely not the nicest...More
The most attractive thing about Anadolu hotel is the location. Basillica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Sultanahmet tram station-----all can be reached within 5 minutes walking from the hotel so we did not have to waste any time in the morning. Breakfast is delicious...More
The Anadolu Hotel is small and humble but family-run. We arrived (party of 9) late into the night and they fired up the kitchen and cooked us a delicious meal. It is run more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. No fancy TVs,...More

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

I don't know about the extra beds but the staff are so helpful I imagine they will do whatever they can. We were met at the airport by a courtesy bus that they arranged and dropped at the bus station by a taxi arranged by them. The man at reception also instructed the taxi driver exactly where we had to be dropped off.
