The hostel is great. Perfect location, great atmosphere, welcoming and friendly staff, safe, clean and very good mattresses. I had great time and I would stay there again. The breakfast is included in the room rate and it is quite good. Be aware that it is still a hostel, so do not expect a 5 stars HOTEL. It is a...

The staff at the Big Apple hostel were amazing. They were always willing to go the extra mile for us and they always did it with a smile. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were of a high standard. The hostel is located next to a street of restaurants and a number of sites such as the Blue Mosque...

This hostel was brilliant. When we arrived we didn't really know what to expect but the guy was really friendly and gave us a tour and showed us a number of rooms to choose from. We chose a triple which had an extra seating/dressing area which was really cute and the bathroom though small was spotless. Breakfast was basic but...

This is a great hostel 2 star hotel which is well located next to the Blue Mosque. We stopped one night in a double room which they upgraded us to and was very neat and functional. Staff were extremely helpful & breakfast was tasty on the roof top terrace. Would definitely stop here again.

It is the best recommended hostel in Sulatanahmet while traveling around Istanbul I could say. It is not far from the tram station which makes getting around easy and all tourist sites are located nearby. Moreover, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Also the place is well organized, comfortable and clean. I could not say any bad word about...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
