Amazing hostel in a marvellously convenient spot to see a lot of the must see sites. The staff was just so friendly and awesome. They made everyone feel like at home and we were treated like family. Great common area on the terrace where you can meet other travellers and have a cheeky beer or nargile and also have a...

Location of hostel is fantastic and by walking you can reach all famous buildings in oldest part of the city. Topkapi and Hagia Sophia are near and from there you can proceed for all others. Staff is always ready to assist with good English (which is unfortunately rare thing in Istanbul, especially among seniors), As my flight was very late...

We stayed here for 4 nights over the New Year period and had an amazing time! The hostel is in a great location...a few minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, but away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Good variety of restaurants, bars, shops and souvenir stores nearby. The staff are all AMAZING! Very friendly...

One of the best hostels I have stayed at in Europe, the Staff are friendly and inviting. The terrace is a good place to meet new people, they have a free breakfast which is nice. They also have a cheep big dinner. The dorm is good with curtains for beds. I would highly recommend staying here if you come to...

I stayed there with a couple of friends (the hotel option) and it was an excellent place to stay. The rooms were clean and cozy. The staff was very helpful and friendly, they gave us a map and gave us useful local recommendations. We also enjoyed the view from the terrace and the nice breakfast served everyday. The hotel location...

Favourite hostel in Istanbul!! I really must emphasise How lovely the staff are and there is such a great atmosphere. They have a beautiful terrace where you get a free breakfast and an amazing dinner at a reasonable price. They have privacy curtains on each bed which makes getting a good sleep sooo much easier. It's a nice clean hostel...

We stayed in the mixed dorm (cheapest option) for a couple of nights. The beds were comfy and although the room was cold the hostel staff were happy to provide extra blankets. Wifi connection was good in the lobby and terrace. The food cooked by the terrace chef was AMAZING. The hostel had a fun vibe, we had some social...

I stayed here for a couple of nights with some friends, and I really recommend it. Excellent and funny staff, good location and rooms are as you want them. It is nice that you can cook yourself, and you can use whatever you find in the kitchen. I would defenitely stay here again.

Big Apple is our home with professional service. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.5 minutes walk to Metro,300 meters to Blue Mosque,400 meters to Ava Sofia. And you can use public computers there, this is good idea for people who doesn't travel with computer.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“Choose a room on the first or second floor. Hotel has no lift and many stairs to the other floors. The staircase is narrow so if you have lots of luggage stay on a lower floor. It's no fun trying to log bags up those stairs.”
