We enjoyed our stay and will stay again. Rooms were modern.clean, comfortable, breakfast was a good choice continental included in price taken on roof top restaurant with brilliant views of Agyia Sophia and Blue Mosque - comfortable seating on roof too with bar service and same fabulous views. Excellent welcome and service from Mehmet, who sat us down on arrival...

Great, central hotel within walking distance to all the sights Istanbul has to offer. Stunning view from the rooftop bar. Nice breakfast with good variety. There is an ongoing problem with the a/c in Room 105 (which we were given). The a/c needs repairs and a loud generator noise kicked in when it was the kids' bedtime. After several complaints...

With just a couple of minutes to stroll to the Hagia Sophia, the hotel location would be hard to better. Taking the small but silent lift to the Hotel’s rooftop restaurant the uninterrupted panorama of Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Galata Tower across the Golden Horn and numerous ships plying the Bosporus is truly memorable by day and magical by night....

But after we settle down, we begin to love this hotel for its good view on the top and helpful receptionists. Here we want to express our thanks ro them....

Thank you to TA for exposing me to this fantastic hotel. Service impeccable - better than some 5 star establishments that I have stayed in around the world. Location can't be matched - in old city within walking distance of all sights. Special mention to MEHMET in reception - concierge par excellence - nothing was too much of a problem...

We have recently stayed here for the second time in two years. The location is perfect for a visit to Istanbul, a short walk to Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. The views from the restaurant and the roof terrace justify the visit alone. You can gaze on the great mosques, look up the...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
