The service at the hotel is great, we were greeted by the staff as soon as we arrived. The restaurant was very nice inside the hotel with a great selection of food, however I would have preferred Turkish food as an option. The rooms are comfortable and in a modern design, however you can hear noises from the corridor if...

A very high end hotel with reasonable rates offering excellent location with Metro and airport express bus service at Taksim Square. Hotel rooms have either Garden, Gezi Park or Bosphorus views but the spectacular Bosphorus views are well worth the slightly greater cost. Guests sit at the reception desk to check in and are immediately introduced to Turkish hospitality with...

I have stayed in this hotel on 2 occassions, once in the loft suite and once in the one bedroom site. Brnd new hotel, latest amenities, beautiful bathrooms overlooking the terrace, nice terrace to the suite rooms. Very cosy and compact so if you are used to large rooms and a sense of spaciousness then not for you. But overall...

We recently stayed in this chic hotel for a night before our transit to Kayseri. The front desk staff was friendly and offered us turkish tea as welcome drink. As a SPG member, we were also upgraded to the room with seaview. Upon checking into our room, we were surprised that they even prepared us a small cake as a...

Pros: I booked a Bosphorous corner suite in the hotel and luckily got a room on the 10th floor and it had a great view. The location is good and is a few minutes walk to the Taksim square. Bathroom amenities were good. Cons: The room was very small compared to what I paid for and with a baby crib...

My first foray into the world of Design Hotels led me to the Gezi because of its location (2-5-minute walks from the Havas Airport Bus stop, Taksim and Istiklal Street) and reasonable rates (under $100). I was ushered into the cozy lobby and served tea while I waited to be checked in. Upon reaching my upgraded room, I discovered that...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
