The rooms were not very tidy, the bathrooms fittings were broken. Air-con leaked, that was fixed, but the aircon did not work in both rooms. But since I was only staying for 1 night I didn't bother moving rooms The hotel had day visitors (mostly young guys), which meant the hotel is not suitable for families with kids. Poolside smells like burnt oil when the kitchen is in use Constructions were ongoing in the hotel, so no access to the beach. When the lift was not working the stairway was not lit Located in an industrial zone, nearest shops, and town about 20 minutes away. Breakfast from the ala carte menu was very good Great location to reach the airport in less than 30 minutes
The staff helpful. Good location. Great view. Rooms are not clean. Stained walls.Floors not clean the corners were full of clogged dust. Bathroom always wet, because the water from the showers leeks into the whole bathroom. The management should take a look at the rooms and figure out whether they would have it this way in their own rooms. Sri Lankan Air transits their passengers there ? Shame on you.
The hotel is located in the sea side. It has great views of the sea from the room window. I stayed overnight with my family for the second time and I loved the food and the service of Sea Shine Beach Hotel Staff.
Was on a transit with Sri Lankan Air, they have given one night stay at Sea Shine Beach Hotel. Below is my experience: - the room furniture is very old & isn't clean. - there were mosquitoes in the room - I could use Wi-Fi in the room for a limited time only. The front desk staff at night weren't friendly at all. The guy could barely speak English. No Managers available on duty at night to accommodate any problems faced by the hotel guest. - the hotel is located in an isolated area. There is literally nothing around the hotel. As the sun sets, there is barely any people outside and dogs takes over the street. - From outside, it looks great. Located next to the beach.
Don’t expect too much from this hotel. We got this as a stopover hotel from Srilankan airlines. Rooms are no frills, very basic but jist alright for you to het some sleep. We also got a meal at their restaurant which was nothing to write home about. You can find a local restaurant at a distance of 10 minutes walk. The beach is just next to it and is nice. We couldn’t go in as it was very rough when we were around. The worst part is wifi. They won’t share the password. So every time you get disconnected, you’ll need to go to the reception for them to enter it again.
