#53 of 106 hotels in Colombo
The latest undertaking of the group is Earl’s Red, the budget hotel which opened in May 2018. This would be the shift to the capital city for the Earl’s Court Group in terms of hotels, as they enter the thriving city hotel industry in Colombo. With a total of 19 comfortable rooms and a roof-top restaurant, Earl’s Red will be the perfect stay-over for the business traveler with modern comfort combined with state-of-the-art amenities to offer respite to the otherwise busy schedule. This will also be the first of the many Earl’s Red Hotels which are to be established in the near future.

Nothing to complain other than the small leaking in the bathroom. Water tends to flow to the room after using. Checking and checkout was simple and neat. Room was neet. For the budget it worth every penny.

I came to Srilanka for official work for 1 day, checked in at around 1900 Hrs on 25th.Nov. I got a lot of horrible experiences with this hotel and some excellent services which i want to highlight. #Good part: 1. It's located at the middle of the city, best location. 2. Reception is good, i met with only one guy there, Mr. Dilsan who was very friendly and welcoming character with big smile. 3. Have their own restaurant with room services which is very fast. #Horrible Experience: 1. They allocated to me Room No: 24 (2nd floor). I opened the door but the room was completely messed up. I went back to reception immediately and mentioned it. They told me , it was a misunderstanding with housekeeping so they gave me another room.23 (2nd floor). 2. I got extra bed there even i was single but it didn't bother me that much. But there were not any towels and drinking water in my room which made me more upset. 3. Safe-box was out order and the door lock also not working properly. You have to push or pull the door hardly to lock it. Make sure that your door is locked before you leave the room. 4. Wifi Facilities is just for name only, most of the time it's not working, if it works also then it's very very slow. At last, i will like to thank this team for everything and i hope other guest will not experience this kind of horrible experience.

Attended a religious convention there for 9 days. They have excellent customer service, clean and fully air conditioned rooms. The young guy at the reception Dilshan were always available and happy to help with his smile. Thank you for all.will see in future. Best of luck all.

Though this is located in the middle of the town I can guarantee that the price is reasonable and the facilities are good. Should ask for a room opposite to roadside so the noise will be not affected in your stay. For a short stay in Colombo the place is good.
