I had a terrible, conflicting experience with Golden Gobi Tours. The owners are dishonest when it comes to money. Make sure you are paying for what you get. And do your homework before you go - you'll not likely get the excellence in English as promised ....

The hostel was comfortable, the breakfast was okay, somedays better than others. The staff was pretty friendly, sometimes had a lot of people over and got quote loud. The main annoyance was in order to enter the hostel you have to knock on the front door and wait for them to open it for you. Overall decent hostel at a...

Excellent hostel, nice rooms, clean, great facilities, good location, value for money. The real highlight of Golden Gobi is the staff. So friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. Their tours are also highly recommended. We had the trip of a lifetime in Mongolia, thanks to the people at Golden...

Service: ++ Location: + Price: + Service: ++ We arrived by train early in the morning and someone of the hostel came to pick us up. When we arrived at the hostel the breakfast was just waiting for us to arrive. Unfortunately we could only stay one night so we booked a tour at the hostel. That's was a good...

Private double room with private bath - felt spacious, temperature inside was excellent - never too hot or cold. Really enjoyed feeling relaxed in my own space at the end of my touring (not with Golden Gobi). Relatively clean. King size bed was one of the more comfortable beds during my stay at various accommodations throughout Mongolia. Location was great...

We didn't stay in the hostel, but we booked two tours in Mongolia this september through the travel agency inside the hostel that has the same name. Overall we got a nice experience with a shared jeep relatively cheap with both the two tours, also because this agency gave us the opportunity to share the costs with other tourists that...

The hostel stay was OK. Extending stays can be hard here, the staff seem to choose who can stay longer based on their feelings that day (saying not to people then yes to people after them). Also they seem to not be too interested in looking after you unless you are doing a tour. In saying that, the tour with...

Golden Gobi GH is good - central location, above average xfast, clean, etc) but this is about their tours. In general, WAY overpriced for Asia and for what you get. ($50/day pp absolute cheapest, with no guide, including everything else except food). And bring your own food.... Don't pay money for the bowl of terrible soup you get in the...

Hey, I was traveling in Mongolia for 3 weeks, and had 2 tours for me and 3 friends to the west and north Mongolia. The whole package was perfect (!!) - the arrangements, the guide (ask for Bogi (woman)!), the driver (ask for Ohgi (man), watch the photo attached to this review) the knowledge and kindness of those guys in...

Nice place, not far from the State Department Store. Rooms are clean and tidy. The place would be fairly busy during peak season. Nice breakfast in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside was that the beds creaked every time someone one moved.
