It was a good hostel with a okey breakfast for the price you pay. The hostel owner had amazing english and helped you with everything you wanted. Close to the center and a bit of a hazel to find where the hostel was located.

Me and two friends booked this hostel after we'd had one night in a terrible hotel. It was everything we needed, central, clean and with very friendly staff. We weren't even here for one full night as we had a really early flight to catch but we were very greatful to have found it! As soon as we arrived there...

Don't be fooled by the unimpressive exterior. Inside it is clean, good and very friendly. Also, owner Anand can arrange good excursions ranging from a local trip in Ulaanbatar to nearby daytrips to long many night trips. All the staff members are very friendly!

We are travelling with two kids, aged 2 and 4. First of all we have to say we appreciate and are most gratrfull for the fact that the owner moved us to a bigger room which was located near the hostel @ zaya1 guesthouse. We were welcomed early at 7 am to get some rest even though the check in...

Negatives; The mattress was quite firm which meant that you couldn’t really sleep on your side Would recommend taking the offer of taxi transfer as it can be difficult to find out your own and the building itself needs a code to enter (the hostel is one of the floors of the building) Positives; Friendly staff and well spoken English...

I have stayed at many hostels but this one was the best I have ever seen. Personalized service above and beyond any 5 star hotel. Clean, safe, economical, great location, what more could you want. Tours they arranged were perfect. Great job by everyone working there.

By far the best place we have stayed in the 2 months since the start of our trip. Anand and the staff were so helpful and accommodating, they made everything so easy and enjoyably for us. The hostel is in a great location and was really clean and comfortable with great communal areas and a nice breakfast. Anand organised a...

This hostel is the ONLY place to stay in Ulaanbaatar, in my opinion :) The manager went above and beyond to ensure that your stay was comfortable and easy. The hostel itself is impeccably clean, thanks to the lovely girls who take care of the place. Bathrooms were spotless and hot water was abundant! Staying at Zaya's you felt really...
