This is one of the top hotels supposedly, but staff can barely communicate in English. They do not know their own city or how to give directions to a (very expensive) hotel driver, to take you to a destination a few blocks away.

Stayed in the Don Chan Palace for business. It is a big hotel with an adjacent convention centre where my meetings took place. In that sense it was very convenient. However, it is outside the city centre and you have to walk quite a bit or take a taxi, which is quite expensive by Southeast Asian standard. My room overlooked...

The hotel is relatively well placed and most beautiful view of the Mekong. The rooms are adequate and more for the extra bed is a real bed actually. No by-charm against on the Chinese hotel). A nightclub on site that starts after 23h. Both restaurants are deserted cons: While in Vientiane excellent abounds.

Don Chan claims to have star quality. My experience told me otherwise. My organization booked Don Chan to use one of its function hall for an event in Vientiane. Usually we book a hotel with an international brand whose quality standard is known. However, only Ibis and Mercure have operations in Vientiane and both do not a hall with size...

This looks like an old hotel but everything is quite modern and the service is very good. There is about 10 minutes walk to the center of the Vientiane. By the time we made the reservation the price value was great. The hotel provides airport pick up. The driving time is 10 minutes.

I stayed there this summer. It was booked by my partner, and when we came we got some kind of surprise. They did renovation, the main entrance closed, yes it's a bit noisy and see some traces of construction work. The hotel is big and try to pretend as 4 star hotel, but it's to old and it's visible, you...

I couldn't say more and share you guys that much for this hotel. It is located next to the Mekong River and closed to the city center where you can walk. Good and convenient location and probably one the tallest hotel in Vientiane, Laos. The lobby is spacious, look elegant, the room is comfortable and clean, but the hotel’s exterior...

...at least not until they finish renovating this dusty, tired, big fat old-looking building... Unless you can't be bother by an annoying symphony of drilling and hammering resonating in every corner of the hotel from 7 am till 8 pm, seven days a week (yes, you got it right: Sundays too). I do bother...
