The room is quite old. The hallway needs maintenance. Public area apart from the lobby also needs maintenance. However, the staffs are really helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great but not superb. If everything is renovated, this could be a great place for your budget. It's a bit away from the city but they offer a free ride to downtown.

I travel to Vientiane for work and stay at Rashmi’s the Plaza every time. It’s a very nice hotel, family run, I feel very safe here. The staff are absolutely fantastic and cater to my every need. I am told they are expanding and I can expect a Jazz club on my next trip. I am looking forward to it. There are some issues with hot water and internet but I stay here for the staff and Grace, all of whom make me feel like I am at home. I especially want to thank Grace who is the supervisor and fantastic. The staff make up for any little shortcomings.

This hotel is about a 15/20 minute drive on average from the airport. On arrival we were impressed with this nice hotel but soon found that they were renovating different sections. While the owner and staff are super friendly (I really want to give it a higher rating) we often had to wait quite a while to get a ride to the airport or to the downtown area.
