I chose to stay at the Salana after reading all the great reviews on Tripadvisor. Upon arrival, the hotel seemed fine enough - the rooms were clean and well appointed, but much smaller than advertised and very noisy. I visited the hotel spa and had a traditional Laos massage, however the spa only had one staff member working as the...

The hotel is located in the old city centre, very convenient for getting around this area. Traffic is horrible so it is faster and less of a headache to get around by foot. The staff are friendly and courteous. The superior rooms are small but cute. The bathroom has nice features, such as a rain shower and a view of...

Lovely hotel in the centre of Vientiane - sandwiched between two temples/monasteries with views of the Mekong river. Easy walking distance to night market, fair trade shops and buildings of interest. Taxi drive away from the land mine museum which gives a view of the history of the mid 20th century Indo-Chine conflict that isn't widely known in the west....

We stayed two nights and had a pleasant stay. The staff are all very friendly and speak English well. They all promptly responded to our requests and appreciated our business. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped into the hotel. The hotel itself has a prime location and puts you steps away from the best restaurants, bars, shopping, temples...

The Sala hotel is in a perfect location to explore a very small neighborhood of excellent restaurants and interesting shops. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel provides 2 computers for guests' use and a printer for use at a very minimal fee They have a nice restaurant and bar but no one seems to use it. (I suspect because ther are...

I had always wanted to go to Cambodia and Laos, but in the post Vietnam years, travel to this area was dangerous and forbidden. Laos is still a communist country, you see a red hammer and sickle flag beside every Laotian flag. And yet, the country was very welcoming to an American. The hotel was excellent, nice quality, clean rooms...

We stayed at this nice hotel with three small girls. The hotel is very nice designed and the staff is very service minded. Rooms a little small, but nice and with views of the temples nearby. Breakfast is also fantastic with a good selection. We also had lunch and dinner at the restaurant which was good and only at little...

Stayed here for four nights on the fifth floor and had an excellent stay. The hotel is conveniently located a five minute walk away from the city centre of Vientiane. It looks to have been recently refurbished as the hotel has a new, clean vibe to it. The modern decor has integrated traditional Lao features so you get the best...
