We stayed here for three nights in October. The hotel is down a little side street, very quaint and away from.the hustle and bustle of some of the surrounding streets. The staff were friendly and our room was beautiful with a lovely view of the garden. A very good central position to visit the surrounding area. We went off most...

You approach the hotel up a cluttered alley, but once inside it's set around a cool, green garden. The rooms have large comfortable beds, look out with balconies on the garden and pool, and are beautifully decorated. All the amenities are there, including a room safe to stow your passport. After touring each day we took a dip in the...

Down a little side street and away from the noise of Vientiane is this lovely French colonial sanctuary. While located close to the Mekong River, the night market and great restaurants, the Ansara also has the advantage of being situated just across the road from the fabulous Tangerine Garden Spa. The rooms are located around the lovely swimming pool and...

This was our 2nd stay at Ansara Hotel. Another great stay. New management which goes out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. Breakfast was very good, the location was very quiet considering the boat festival. The pool was perfect after full days of seeing sites. We eat lunch one day which was incredibly delicious. The only recommendation would...

An oasis of calm amid the frantic bustle of Vientiane. My first experience of the city was arriving at the Ansara Hotel where I was made very welcome and settled into a charming room overlooking a delightful garden with a very inviting swimming pool. The temptation was too great and I had a very welcome swim in delightful surroundings. Service...

Even though our room was a fair way from reception (in pouring rain) the rest of the experience was outstanding. Security was tight (before the G20 summit) but not intrusive. Rooms wer clean, comfortable and the staff were particularly helpful. The restaurant served the best food in our 3 week s in Thailand and Laos absolutely first class. The service,...

I stayed one night in this hotel very centrally located in Vientiane not far from the Mekong River and a very short distance from the famous Vientiane night market. The hotel has a beautiful front building where the reception is located together with the restaurant where a copious French style breakfast will be served to you in the morning. Rooms...

This hotel had pros and cons, but ultimately some of the cons made it a place that I would not recommend. Pros - the pool area is pretty and the location is very central. The free minibar is a perk, but it's just two bottles of orange juice, two waters (free in every hotel we stayed in in Laos), and...

Although we arrived early we were immediately shown to our room. It was spacious with a good range of amenities including free non alcoholic mini bar. The hotel is in the middle town it is easy walking to everywhere in Vientiane. The hotel helped to arrange a private driver to Luang Prabang at a good price. The pool area is...
