Third trip to Laos and thought I'd try another hotel, with a pool. Not my best experience. On the first night got bitten over 40 times in the hotel room - can't do much about mosquitos, but not convinced some bites weren't bed bugs (shoulders, neck and arms?). Bed quilt was stained and grey, though wrapped in clean sheet. Asked... More

My expectation was low before checking in, as I saw the reviews about the hotel being dirty and noisy. The hotel is quite old so it can be quite gloomy with not enough lighting. In fact, the spotlight at night for the logo of the hotel seemed to have been placed haphazardly on the roof. In the room, there was... More

A good sized hotel across the street from the mighty Mekong river. Its a little dated and could use a renovation but all in all a nice place to stay in Vientiane. It's a short walk to the night markets or a short tuk tuk ride anywhere around town. Vientiane will only get better as Laos develops well worth a... More

The room was well organized with good environment great views on the Mekong river and corner very good city views. Breakfast room are well attractive the food was great delicious. Also there are rom for monthly rent accommodation for all services included food and housekeeper, best for business travel in quarterly. Better than apartments you be safe and secure.

At first sight the front of the Vansana is like a 60's style building and not very impressive. It styles itself as a 5 star hotel but in European terms it would only rate between 3 or 4. That said it is in a great location, probably the best in the city of Vientiane overlooking the mighty Mekong. There are... More

Travelling around Laos – great mid range Hotels – clean, welcoming with friendly, helpful staff UNTIL we had the misfortune to stay here - definitely the worst hotel I have stayed in (travelling in Asia regularly).
