The hotel is located by the Mekong River and within walking distance to the city center and night market. The rooms is very nice and the bed was very very comfortable. A la carte breakfast with good selections of set menus...delicious! The bar on 7th floor is nice and relaxing with some jazz music during the night where you can enjoy tapas and good selections of Lao and Western food. Recommended for you who like to stay in a quiet arof Vientiane.

The top location on the Mekong river is only one reason to stay there. The minute you enter the hotel you are spoiled by the friendly and attentive staff. The rooms are very nicely decorated and have separate showers and toilets and all amenities you need for a couple of days. Breakfast is a la carte with choices of european and laotian dishes. The food in the restaurant is very good. In the afternoon there is a litte buffet where one can get some complimentary snacks and drinks including french white and red wine. Just a few steps outside the hotel to the left and right on the bank of Mekong you have a myriad of good restaurants, bars and a charming and busy night food market with open air restaurants. On the top floor of the hotel there is a superb roofttop bar and restaurant with excellent views of the Mekong river and Thailand on the other side of the river. Service is very good and on weekend days a life band with mainly soul and jazz music contributes to a great al fresco evening. Last not least they have a surprisingly big wine shop with a huge selection of top french wines and champagnes, something I would not really have expected to see in Laos. Highly recommended!

The hotel is stunning and does not let the price deter you. The rooms are incredible. They are spacious, modern, and visually beautiful. Breakfast is delicious. Dinner on the roof is lovely. There are also very reasonably-priced restaurants down the block along the water. The hotel doesn't have a spa, unlike it's another location in Luang Prabang. There is a massage place down the block that was lovely. My only disappointment was that the assistance booking tours was weak. I know the hotel was working on correcting the issue. I highly recommend the hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My first impression at the hotel was warm and relaxed atmosphere and refreshed and delicious "Rosemary Ginger" welcome drink after a long trip. The room was large and decorated in modern style. Restaurant and wine shop were beautiful, I could view gorgoues scene of Khong river from th rooftop bar! Staff were very friendly and took a very good care of me since the fist step I entered the hotel to the moment I checked out.

We were in this hotel for two nights as part of a tour of Laos. Firstly this is a new(ish) hotel and should be good, it wasn't. The staff are not trained or able to communicate in English, German, French or any other language except perhaps Thai or Laos. Most of the staff appeared to be Thai so communication is very very difficult and must change if you are to service tour groups. The room was just configured wrong from the beginning. The bed head is up against the windows blocking the natural day light. The toilet and shower are two separate cubicles, both of which were fusty and smelly. The wash hand basin is in the room, so in fact you don't have an en suite bathroom you have cubicles that service and then a wash hand basin stuck beside the coffee making machine! The service at Breakfast was poor very poor, there was supposed to be a tick sheet on the tables to order a la carte. The first morning we didn't get it and the second morning the staff member went to a very poor buffet display and picked up stale croissants and opened a carton of juice and poured a glass - supposedly fresh juice! In the rooftop bar the service was awful. Again staff could not communicate to take orders. There were large groups ordering whisky by the bottles - yes and they were serving as if were wine, they people were so drunk they didnt know where they were. It was just horrible atmosphere. Transport ordered to bring us out - address supplied, the gave the wrong address to the driver. On and on it went. This hotel needs management, training and a team that can communicate. On the positive side this hotel has a beautiful and extensive range of wines which are in view in reception, investigation tells us the space is rented by a wine importer - they need to tell the staff how to serve the wine and understand the product they are proposing to sell, We served our own wine! This hotel is not cheap to stay at and it should be better. PS there is no view of the river from the front despite the marketing.
