The resort has beautiful landscape and very natural feeling. The bed room is very simple decoration, considered nothing, but clean and comfortable. River view restaurant is nice for dinning. It's a place recommended to stay for one or two days.
This resort is a good 2 hours drive from downtown Vientiane. The hotel has a casino attached to it and also a very nice golf course in the middle of the mountain. The accommodation is pretty nice and it is very relaxing too. The Chinese owner has spent lots of money in beautifying this place. Worth to pay this resort a visit.
Stayed here of one night on a cycling holiday. Made it up the hill and it was well worth it. Casino was fun, but not really English-speaker friendly. Rooms were a little grotty considering the opulence of the casino. Breakfast and dinner buffets were very good. Would come again just for the fun of the Macau disco, an interesting place which only seemed to employ ladyboy dancers. Had a very fun evening in there.
We upgraded to the VIP suite for only $20 more, and I think it was well worth it. Lots of space, and clean. Bathroom needed an upgrade, and only wifi was located in lobby. Staff were helpful and spoke fairly good english. Restaurant food was decent. Location was right across from the airport.
This review is for The Dansavanh Golf and Coutry Club part of the same group and 5km form the resort. 1.TRANSFERS Pickup from the Intha Hotel in Vientiane was punctual. The driver Mr Vang was both cheerful and safe with his driving. 2.CHECKIN The Checkin to "Le Chalet" which is part of the Coutry Club was prompt and without a hitch. 3.THE ROOM The room was large well appointed including aircon, cable TV,fridge and ample space for golf clubs. 4.FOOD The portions were tasty, large with a blend of eastern and western fair the menu was well balanced.Coffee could be improved with use of local beans and an espresso machine. 5.SERVICE *Housekeeping was good with room and linen cleaned daily to a high standard. *Waitstaff were approchable, friendly but need more training and guideance.Their service was inconsistent and they need to be more productive ie. reading the customers needs, cleaning and restocking. *Caddys were good although like most caddys where I have played golf in Asia have little understanding of the game. 6.THE COURSE The layout is good , challenging and very picturesque. The greens and fairways need improving to bring it inline with courses in neighbouring Thailand. 7.OVERALL IMPRESSION This establishment is well worth a look. The clubhouse and surrounds are undergoing renovations(noise is no problem) with new management in place. In the future this golf course and its accomodation has the ability to go from a good experience to a great!one.…
