Within walking distance of Patuxay. A very clean hotel with super nice decor and a friendly staff to assist you. Breakfast was included, not much to write home about but it filled the void. The 5th floor had a wonderful view and a full length private balcony. I was there three nights and was very comfortable. I see many was there to go to the Thai embassy to update their visa. The Thai embassy around the corner from this hotel is the wrong one. The Thai consulate is about a 20 minute walk from this hotel. I would stay here again, it was nice. Also, they do have a shuttle to take you back to the airport.

Nice lobby. Room large with sitting area. Felt clean. Internet strong. Good bed (with hard pillows). 5-minute walk to arch. Breakfast very weak. Service poor because of language barrier. Sliding door broken which created too much outdoor noise. Nice hotel but too many issues to rate it higher than a 3. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

Very comfortable stay. Beautiful room and a wonderful view of Patuxay. Dining room and bar are very inviting. The breakfast is good quality as is the coffee. The hotel has such a lovely old world feel to it, elegant and charming. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in the city centre. Kob jai lai lai der.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Lovely French Colonial building. Not expensive; very reasonably priced. Close to Patuxay and a comfortable 2 km stroll to downtown Vientiane. Rooms good; staff lovely and helpful. We'll be back!

I was going to stay at the Crowne Plaza in Vientiane. Phasouk Vien Chantra Hotel came up in my search for Hotels in Vientiane and it looked like it had charm and local French architecture. So I canceled Crowne Plaza and booked 4 nights. Wow, what a surprising find. The hotel was beautiful inside. I felt like I was in Paris. My room was amazing. Coffered cielings with crown molding accents. Beautiful bathroom and the double bed was heavenly. Best sleep, didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. The view from the bed in my room of the Putaxai Victory Monument was fabulous. The room exceeded all my expectations. The staff was great as was the cooked to order breakfast. The hotel is just off Xang Lane the beautiful main boulevard in Vientiane and a 25 minute walk or short tuk tuk ride to the main restaurant district. Do not let the location concern you. It's convenient and quite. There's a convenience stoor next door and a few restaurants close by including a fast food Korean chain Lotteria and a nice coffee shop. My stay was so much more pleasant than staying at the Crowne Plaza and at a quarter of the price. Fantastic price for such a wonderful hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.…
