Always stay here when visiting Phnom Penh. Outstanding value for money, lovely staff. Rooms are clean and well appointed, pool area is safe and attractive, complementary breakfast is enjoyable. Restaurant also offers more than decent western and Khmer dishes and make a decent cocktail.

This is a beautiful little hotel - calming and peaceful in the midst of a hot, dirty but beautiful city! As you walk through the gates you feel yourself transported to another era and another location - you could be on the banks of a river or a few meters from a beach! The welcome from the staff was incredibly...

Walking into The Kabiki from the hot and dusty streets of Phnom Penh, is like discovering an oasis in the middle of the desert. As soon as you walk into the gates, the large, shady trees almost welcome you to relax. Signing in at Reception is a pleasure as the staff are lovely and can't help you enough. Even the...

The reviews don't lie: this is a great place. The major pros are: * The hotel was quiet, on a back road, but very easy to get out and about. Until you experience it, it is hard to emphasise how much this is an oasis in the middle of a busy part of the city. * Incredible central location, within...

We were travelling with our children (4 and 7 years old) and stayed at the Kabiki for 3 days. It is a very child-friendly place. Our family room had bunk beds and was very tastefully decorated. The Kabiki is a small hotel lying peacefully down a small road with very little traffic. It is quiet and lies within a big...

Its "Paradise" located in the heart of the city. Conveniently located amongst the hustle and bustle of Phnomn Pehn but once you arrive inside the hotel gates you could easily be on a tropical island resort. The friendly, hospitable staff from the reception through to bar and cleaning staff makes it a very welcoming and homely environment - especially being...

The staff and atmosphere in the Kabiki was a joy to come home to each day. Cool and relaxing. Beautiful well established trees and gardens to enjoy a relax by the pool. The staff were wonderful with our children (young and old) and went out of their way to assist us with booking additional tours etc. Great Internet for the...

A small hotel, surrounded by trees. Very quiet as no traffic allowed on the approach road. Staff lovely and friendly - local dishes beautifully cooked by a local ladywhen ever you wanted food. A proper home from home.

Set in a beautiful garden setting off a major road. It was pin-drop silent at night. Breakfast is excellent. Great location. Mattresses need to be replaced. Since we booked on Hotels.com, breakfast was not included, but I think for $115 a night, it should be.

Set on a closed road owing to proximity of government buildings the last couple of hundred meters need to be covered on foot. Someone from the hotel will come and help with the luggage however should it be necessary. I had a large room with en suite. The electrics and water worked the majority of the time but we did...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
After opening our famous Pavilion boutique hotel, we realised, as people with family ourselves, that Phnom Penh needed a resort that was family orientated and child friendly. The historic colonial house we found on Oknha Peich Street with its 3500m2 of surrounding land was perfect. Caring, friendly staff, lots of nature for children to explore, the Kabiki is a place to relax, take a swim and lounge in the sun between days exploring Phnom Penh and the nearby attractions of the Royal Palace, Wat Botum and the riverside. We planted over 500 native trees, many of which we've placed name tags on so you can identify them yourselves. ... more   less
