Another idyllic stay here at the Pavilion where walking through the front gate feels like 'coming home'. The Staff are friendly and polite and the room is well appointed. I have my favourite rooms to stay and if you can book a private pool room it's very worthwhile especially st the end of a hot and sticky day in the...

Decent price for your paradise in Phnom Penh. Will definitely be returning. Great spacious rooms, two pools and good food. We've also stayed at the Plantation, which is part of the same group. Both are worth staying at! Enjoy

My mum and I travelled together and stayed at The Pavillion Hotel for 5 nights. It is a beautiful boutique property with so much attention to detail. The layout - furnishings, decor and style have all been carefully considered and it makes all the difference. Love that there are two pools, a lush pool that shades out the sun, and...

Dear Guest, I am sorry you did not fully enjoy the barbecue at our Floating Bungalows. The rate of 30 USD includes a total cruise time of one hour and a full dinner at the Bungalows. I will check about the food quality. Indeed sometimes logistics are a bit hectic over there as the facilities are not as easy to...

I stayed here in January and in the Sister hotel The Plantation a week later. The Plantation has a large pool and caters for children. Nice place, but we missed the quietness of the child free Pavilion. We have children 18+ in age, and with so many hotels around that are child centered, we love the Pavilion for its quietness...

Dear Dara, Many thanks for this strong support! Indeed, this is a policy that is not easy to carry on and some people get quite upset about it, even if we have the Kabiki next door that is completely friendly to families... Looking forward to having you back in August! Cheers, Alexis

I was actually not going to review this hotel as we had a terrible experience that nearly ruined a very special holiday for our family, but after reading the other review on this site, I felt compelled to do so. When we booked this hotel, (through Agoda), we booked as 2 adults and 2 children and the other people in...

Dear Guest, many thanks for this comprehensive review! Indeed, the Pavilion atmosphere and setup are designed for an adult and relaxed crowd and it could not have satisfied you in any way. Now, don't your children tell you to Always say the truth? You clicked on Children over 16 - as there is no other children option - on Agoda.com....

Quiet hotel with two swimming pool. Breakfast near the pool. Very clean and very close to the city centre but in a quiet location. The people are very kind and when the taxi we booked didn't arrived we asked their help and the taxi they called for the airport bring us to the airport in time for our flight.

Positives: Beautiful hotel grounds, 2 separate pools - one shaded, one for sunbathing, very kind and caring General Manager, spa and local crafts shop on-site, good location, bar food is very nice, rooms are very peaceful and relaxing. Negatives: The family who disregarded the rules about "no children" and refused to leave threatening to sue the Management if they were...

Many thanks for your kind message and support to our policy! But we have a family friendly hotel right next door in order to compensate. I am glad you liked our place and excused us for the issue with the other guests! Please come back, it is usually very quiet in here! Cheers, Alexis

I'm going to try and write this without using the word "oasis" - damn there I go. After a typically frantic, entertaining drive from the airport (in tropical storm conditions), flooded roads, families of 5 on mopeds, vehicles of every description fighting for every last square foot of the road, we finally got delivered to the Pavilion. Or, actually, we...

Dear Mick, Now, this is really kind of you! Yes, one of the private pools started to leak due to a broken pipe. Sorted now and all four private pools, as well as the two main ones are working fine. Cheers, Alexis

Hotel surrounded by vegetation with two large pools, very well located (10 minute walk to Royal Palace). The hotel is integrated by different buildings and our room (#1), situated in the main one, was old. Breakfast was good but it was not buffet style and was tiring to order as the portions were small and service slow.

Dear Guests, Many thanks for your kind review! The breakfast is unlimited and you can order as many times and as many dishes that you like. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It all started when we fell in love with a hidden gem of French-Khmer architecture from the 1920s near Wat Botum, one of the most venerable and original pagodas in Phnom Penh. Renovation and remodeling were led with due respect for the character of a building which had been, as we learnt it later on, a private retreat for Queen Consort Sisowath Kossamak, the late King Sihanouk's mother. Opened on August, 18, 2006 with 10 rooms, The Pavilion has slowly expanded over the years, offering now 36 accommodations throughout three more period buildings that have been added to the property: "The New House", former residence of the chief veterinarian at the Royal Palace; "The New Villa", formerly the private residence of a Cambodian senator, and "The Sun-Pool Villa", our latest addition which used to be lodgings for diplomats based in Phnom Penh. Each one has its own style and atmosphere, with distinctive architectural features such as an elaborate wooden stairway, intricate iron wrought railings, etc… ... more   less
