The good part is that air condition is excellent and the location is good for single males who wat to stay near hostess bars. The bad part is bad maintenance of the hotel (lamps won´t light, internet won´t work in the rooms, low water pressure in shower), the breakfast is very, very basic and the safe boxes can easily by... I really enjoyed staying at the Monsoon Hotel in Phnom Penh. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in Phnom Penh. Some of the excellent staff I would like to give special thanks to are: Borami, Rabe Tha and Thon. All were exceptional in there service with me :)

The hotel itself is quite pretty, the rooms are spacious and fresh. The staff at the hotel was immensely helpful, as we had troubles booking transportation for our onwards travel due to the water festival. Only some of the staff speaks good English though: the girl working the morning shifts in particular was great help! All the rest of the... More

Located in the heart of 130 street the entrance is somewhat hidden by foliage. The rooms are comfortable with safe, cupboard and good sized ensuite. The front door and window are sliding glass doors which open onto the corridor and is also the source of light (and noise of returning occupants late at night). The front desk staff were very... We came in for a coffee and wow!! What a place. Beautifully deco. Great amazing staff. French Khmer chef. The food and menu was fantastic. We had the buffalo burgers. Highly recommend. The rooms are amazing. Will stay here next time.

I stayed at this hotel several times this year and would recommend it to budget travelers. The rooms have a modern design and feel to them which makes this hotel unique and interesting compared to others in the price range. The breakfast is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located, close to the tourism... More

The good bits: location good albeit I understand the adjacent bar/noise potential issues which didn't affect us mid September visit but hotel near enough to everything you need; the staff great in general being very friendly tho poor English (not their fault but does hamper when information sought); room was roomy with 'odd' but functional shower (no bath unless you... Great hotel in a busy nightlife area but still close to tourist spots like the market and the palace. Good comfortable room and the staff very friendly. Riverside restaurants only a short walk away. When leaving I left a phone charger in the room and when I returned a week later the staff found it .....much appreciated.

I have to agree with the previous comments about the noisy hostess bar next to this hotel. I was really enjoying my visit here until one night there was really loud music from the bar next to the hotel. I couldn't sleep much. It spoiled my stay there. I hope the management can do something about this as I'm sure... More

Dear singadude, Warmest greetings from Monsoon Boutique Hotel and Spa, Phnom Penh We do apologize to hear that you could not sleep well cause of the bar noisy next door. Actually, we had been talk to owner one or two times already to reduce the sound of the music at the mid-night. However, she said to me it's happened in... More

I recently stayed at Monsoon. It's a very good hotel, but unfortunatley with one serious problem. Right next to it is a hostess bar that often plays extremely loud music very late at night. If your room happens to be close to this bar then it can be difficult to sleep as the music pounds through the walls. The staff... More
