1. The hotel is located on a busy street and the rooms have no sound-proofing whatsoever. Any noise made in the adjacent rooms travels through walls. It was as if I was sleeping on the street. 2. The furniture is old and rusty. 3. The plumbing in the bathroom is in major need of repair. No hot water in the...

This hotel has some charm, but not as much as we expected from the photos. Expect a big trek up stairs to get to your room and a shared balcony with neighbors. There’s an outdoor, but covered pool that we decided not to check out. It’s cheap, but slightly hard to get to/find. Don’t have anything terrible to say, but...

Le Leela has all the potential to be an absolutely stunning colonial boutique hotel, but unfortunately doesn't quite make it. It feels like they ran out if money half way through doing it up. We stayed in the queen balcony room which, again, could be stunning, it has a lovely four poster bed with a beautiful old desk, then a...

I chose this hotel for its description and images of old world colonial charm. And it does have bucketloads with its beautiful tiled floors and the 5 meter high ceilings featured on the website. However, it has not had the love and care such a beautiful building requires leaving it rather old and tired...a bit like the staff, exceptions being...

We spent a week at this hotel. There were many good aspects and some less good. It seems as if there has been a change of management, the staff do not seem contented and there is no restaurant any more. Our room was high-ceilinged, clean, and had both a/c AND fan, which was wonderful as the temperature was in the...

My husband and I stayed a total of 5 nights, which where broken by a trip to Siem Reap. We stayed in two different rooms. They where clean and where a decent size, the second rooms shower was better. The front desk organised all our bus and boat trip with ease and also booked our hotel in Siem Reap and...

This place was great and the staff really helpful, set in an older colonial house with 20 foot ceilings and old world charm. We did find it to be a small distance away from the main restaurant scene but nothing that a friendly tuk-tuk driver cant fix.
