We stayed for 1 night passing through Phnom Penh as a family with 2 adults and 1 teenager. We booked because it offered great value for a 2 bedroom apartment and the room had a washing machine - which after 10 days in the jungle was a great asset ! We enjoyed the pool which has spectacular views - in fact apartment views were also good of rivers but not the city. The apartment was well equipped and clean but question the judgement of whoever chose WHITE sofa suite in a hotel !!?? Generally staff were friendly although when our room key was accidentally picked up by another guest at the pool they tried to charge us $10 US to replace. Be aware the hotel is a bit away from city attractions although tuk tuks easy to get and 15 minutes will get you to the Royal palace etc.

We have found our favourite family friendly hotel in Phnom Penh. We had such a great weekend staying in the two bedroom family suite. It is spacious, clean, and had everything we needed including a bath for the kids. Some highlights for us: rooftop pool, kid's pool and playroom, bar, jacuzzi, lots of places to lounge, games room with a pool table and playstation, kind and helpful staff, and a delicious breakfast. We are already thinking of when we can return 😊

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
My wife and me have just returned to our home in Kuala Lumpur after spending ten days at the Peninsula Hotel in Phnom Penh.
Let me state from the outset that the staff try very hard indeed to make the guest experience memorable and none more so than the front desk manager Mr Phearom who was very attentive and accommodating. Big thanks to him and all his staff.
The location is a excellent, a quietish corner of Phnom Penh right on the river, but easily accessible to the city and airport - we never waiting more than five minutes for a tuk-tuk which were cheap and plentiful.
The suite was spacious and comfortable, if a little sparsely furnished and my wife could certainly have used more cooking implements. The shower was a little lacking too and, as others have noted, the water would run cold pretty quickly.
Because our stay was so long, Mr Phearom was kind enough to arrange an IPTV service with a good array of sports channels but unfortunately the wifi connection was not stable and some nights it was like a giant game of 'what happened next'.
A hotel like this also needs its own dedicated restaurant - which is on the cards I believe - and while the roof top area offered great views, service was slow because everything it seems had to be prepared 24 floors below. On our last day, we waited 20 minutes for an iced coffee!!
As others have highlighted, there is a touch of schizophrenia in evidence and I am still not sure whether the Peninsula is a hotel first and foremost or masquerading as one while really wanting to be serviced apartments.
But the foregoing basically are nitpicks in what was a pleasant and congenial experience. Ten days is a long time in one place and Mr Phaerom and his team helped make it as enjoyable as possible. Again heartfelt thanks.

We booked a 2 bedroom family suite which was well decorated and had a good dining area where we chilled out. The rooftop pool had an amazing view of the city, as well as the rooftop bar and restaurant which served tasty food and cocktails, at a reasonable price. We booked the room for 4 adults and a 2 year old child. For breakfast we were only issued 4 breakfast vouchers and when ordering were told that we could only order 4 dishes in accordance to how many vouchers we had provided. We went back to reception to ask for a 5th voucher for the 5th person we had booked the room for, to be told that children are not issued vouchers and that they have to share with an adult. This was unacceptable because the food received per adult was not sufficient to be sharing with a child. After expressing how we found this unacceptable, they did issue us a 5th voucher but we should not have had to ask for this. If the room was booked for 5 people (which it was) we should have been issued 5 vouchers. It would have been different if the 5th person was a 6 month old baby, but a 2 year old eats a considerable amount og food.

This is a hard one to review for us as there where so many excellent aspects but a few things just let this hotel down as follows. Great aspects Reception staff during our stay, all ladies ,were just excellent in everyway Breakfasts with the room in the french restaurant next door where delicious The pool area and the views are stunning If you get a room with a view it is well worth it especially at night Supermarket right behind is well stocked and a great convenience Tuk tuk to town over the bridge is just a couple of dollars US
Not so great We upgraded our room fom deluxe one bed to a two bed at an exta 20 US per night. First room was very small, smelt musky,TV did not work so we had to have them come to fix,no toliet papr provided again a call to the desk. The larger room had a balony and a view. Cleaner and much more comfortable. There us a washing machine in room no dryer so you have to hang cloths on there drying frame. If you dont have a balcony you have to leave wet clothes drying in your room not ideal The toliets blocked easily Drainage seemed to be an issue as undersink smelt very bad We ordered there famous texas bbq meal. It was suppose to be in our room in 20 minutes it arrived over an hour later cold, over cooked missing breads half a scoop of chips. We raised this and the on duty manager apologised and apologised but that was it?At thd very least take off the service charge we felt?Dont order this meal really it it is not worth your money
Sadly just some simple things just needed to ..in our opinion..be achieved to move this hotel into what it could/should be.

This place is simply exceptional. I don't want to leave and I am already thinking of a longer stay in the future.
The facilities are breathtaking. A full apartment with marble flooring and counters to keep you cool without the aircon in the Cambodian heat. And the fact that you get several pools, sauna, workspace and a social play space with movie projection screen too? You'd think it costs several thousand dollars, when in fact I only paid around USD30 a night!
Location is convenient with 2 well-equipped supermarkets right outside. I loved buying fruits there and cutting them up for an in-room snack.
Clientelle is mainly Asian (I saw many Chinese, but also some Cambodians too! Some Middle Easterners and Westerners too). I'd say majority is 30s to 40s.
After checking out, I am planning on visiting the Killing Fields. The staff told me I can take a shower upon evening return on the 24th floor since the reception will be open to assist me. I am thankful.
I'd full-heartedly recommend The Penninsula to anyone who is considering. If you aren't, I'd encourage you to consider :)

Very nice hotel with stunning rooms apartments. Would recommend to anyone traveling on business or for leisure. Reservation team is super responsive. The Front Desk team is also friendly and will help you for any transport in town. Our Room was very high standard and bed /pillows extra comfortable. We slept like babies :) They provide free water every day. There is a (big) fridge in the open kitchen and it was very helpful when you buy drinks and wine at the supermarket nearby. We could have cooked and washed our laundry but we preferred ordering from their menu. All in all : good location and quiet at night ( it’s a must in Phnom Penh). Safe area with 2 supermarkets nearby Modern and huge rooms and facilities (+ the view 😍) Very good value for money Breakfast: could add more western options but the staff told us a brand new coffee shop is gonna open so I guess we will see when we come back

Nice welcome and efficient front desk. We knew that the breakfast was next door in a cafe for which you are given a voucher for so no big deal. When in the cafe you do get the option or either continental or english breakfast. The swimming pool at the top floor was pretty amazing, with amazing views and the gym was well equipped. This hotel is located away from the main center however grab is always available and very cost effective to get to everywhere you would want to go.

We stayed 2 nights in April during a larger trip to Cambodia and this was out nicest accommodation. We had a beautiful, modern, comfortable and spottles room with a balcony overlooking the skyline. The hotel and its facilities were gorgeous- we loved the infinity pool and also used the gym and sauna. Staff were attentive and smiling. Highly recommend.

The staff was beyond and it was so appreciated. We booked a studio and were upgraded to a 1 Bedroom on the 15th floor with a stunning view. We found the location great with plenty supermarkets nearby and it is so much quieter at night vs the xity center. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Peninsula.
