The room was really nice and clean, and the bathroom had a nice hot shower. Unfortunately the staff was just so frustrating. Major penny pinchers. We booked online with Agoda, but when we arrived they wanted to charge us more. The next morning I was very sick (white chick in Cambodia sick) and we had no choice to extend. Now...

Stayed here with our three young children. More expensive than some of the places we have stayed, but it is the capital so I suppose it is what you expect! Nice room and bathroom. Good AC. Pool and pool table which kids enjoyed and food reasonably priced by PP tourist standards and also very tasty. Best bit of hotel is...

Good for price and location but the my expectations were not met probably because the pictures on the internet were probably too much. My advise is to avoid the rooms on the last floor as the water provision was a real issue during my stay whenever the small pool is in use. Staff is OK and helpful.

Loved our stay in early 2003 but went there last year and the lake has been filled in! I couldn't believe it, our original stay was so much fun and it was a real shame it had transformed. Staff and rooms were fine in my opinion and still very cheap even with aircon availability.

This hotel is awful, and I'm now kicking myself for not checking Tripadvisor. I went from a recommendation from what I can now assume is an outdated Lonely Planet. Although I still can't believe anyone has given even a half decent rating to this hell hole recently, it does seem like many have had the same experience as me too....

Stayed in a single en suit room for USD18 / night. Location is good as you can walk to the riverside easily, and it is surrounded by other budget inns & hotels which makes it safe & easy to catch tuk tuk (they are often a bit annoying but quite friendly and laid back, I wouldn't describe them as aggressive)....

I stayed here for 3 nights while in Phnom Penh. The room was probably the cleanest I have come across thus far. I had a few issues with the bathroom, toilet was leaking and shower wouldn't turn on at first (went out came back and it was on 🙈). The rooms are very small and basic but the rooftop bar,...

We'd decided to stay here as we thought it was a bit more upmarket than the hotel we had previously stayed at in the city. On face value it is very nice, a good bar area and very friendly/smiley staff. However we got a ground floor room which was located opposite the kitchen and even though the receptionist said it...

I spent some time searching for a suitable half way house whilst finding an apartment in Phnom Penh . Most were expensive and dirty . Imagine my surprise to find The 9 Guesthouse . Where can you find a boutique style hotel with a jacuzzi on the roof for $ 15.00 night . Yes it' s true . To top...

We were really pleased to find Number 9 Guest House. The location is perfect. It is close to all the tourist attractions but not right in the noisy touristy center. The room is very clean. The restaurant and bar downstairs provides great food and really good cocktails - they actually have lot of alcohol in it! We really had a...
