This is a review of the restaurant only. This is a restaurant at which you will find many many local people. They know good food when they see it and this restaurant has a wide range of local foods as well as western options if that is what you so need. Service is jock and efficient and pleasant. Main courses... More

I am staying once again at the Dara Reang Sey, in Phnom Penh, for about the fifth time. It is always a pleasure to return here. All the staff are very friendly, charming and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but are becoming a bit dated now. Wi Fi signal in the room is very strong. Despite this, the... More

This place was a bit confusing to us when checking in, because we had to check in at a restaurant across the street. Since we didn't know this, we first walked into the restaurant with our suitcase after we checked in. Funny for the locals, but a bit awkward for us. So across the street we went, into this old... My room was clean and had excellent wifi, tv, hot shower and good security. I recommend it to anyone doing business in downtown Phnom Penh because it's good value for money. Plenty of transport available right outside in one of the famous Cambodian tuk tuks.

The rooms and especially bathrooms are really outdated. Size and beds ok, bathroom too small and not clean. The corners and entrance to the rooms where very dirty and smelly, but this is a general sight in combodja. Totally different compared to vietnam ( where everything is cleaned right after you on the streets). Breakfast was ok but nothing special.... More

Usually stay here when I'm in Phnom Penh. Staff is very friendly. Owners are friendly too and always give me good prices for any ticket that I purchase. Rooms are clean and spacious. Free bottles of water. Clean sheets and towels. Nice seating area upstairs and a rooftop for if you like to do some yoga

The location is good near to the riverside and can easily walk around. The room was clean but very simple with plain wall. The should be some decoration. The staff are helpful. The rate of the hotel is what you expect to get from.

I review this place after every visit as I want to assure the place is still in good condition and nothing has changed. I traveled with an entourage of 8 others this time and we had 2 nights at Dara Reang Sey. Clean rooms, helpful owner (she booked restaurants for us as we needed to reserve a big table and... More

Disinterested staff in dilapidated old building with absolute basics of comfort and no more. Disappointing experience compared to other hotels on my trip where I got so much more for the price. Great city with lots to do but I would look elsewhere for somewhere decent to stay. poor.

“Top floors are quieter”

“Get a room in their new building, it is worth the $25. Rooms in the old building, while much cheaper and are OK if you're backpacking, are fairly worn and dingy. The higher up you are, the quieter the rooms. You are on a busy streetcorner, but on the 3rd floor it is pretty quiet. No elevator.”

“My room facing the street had a common balcony for you to see the actions happening everyday.”

“We were facing the street which was busy but the noise didn't bother us, and I'm a light sleeper.”

“Rooms are spacious, with corner rooms (three beds) very big. Wifi is intermittent. Bathrooms have handbasin, hot shower, cold shower, toilet and toilet hose. It is a wet room in all aspects - when you have a shower the whole floor gets wet.”
  • This is a single/twin room.
  • The water pressure was good in this room but not so in the room I had on my return a week later.
  • View from door towards bathroom.
  • The hotel is in two buildings. This is building has reception and the restaurant.
