Hotel is in good location with restaurant serving few Indian foods..Breakfast is good .The hotel doesn't provide Showergel but has to be contented with soap.Water clogging happens in few bath rooms and i have to change the rooms thrice.Good place for business people so wil be back for sure.

What a lovely hotel! I spent 3 nights here as a solo business traveler and really enjoyed my staff. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and accommodating. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, as well as the delicious dinner buffet. Also, dinner on their second floor, à la carte restaurant was very nice as well. I would highly recommend getting a cup of their special coffee in their café. The gym was very well-maintained and all the equipment was very new, a great place to get a workout in. You can head up to the rooftop for a great view of the city. My bedroom was spacious, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is also centrally located to many restaurants, attractions, parks, and it’s very easy to walk to Bailey Road, and a number of other tourist destinations. As great as always. Neaz the Hotel Manager, Awlad the Restaurant Manger and his great team, Jashim and his team of Housekeeping they always made us feel we are home in Bangladesh. We never felt it’s a hotel where we pay to stay or eat, we felt always welcome since 2015 due to their continuous great hospitality.

Stayed here on 3 trips in 2016, 2019 & this year. Front desk and room service staff are excellent. I don’t remember all their names (Masud and others) but they are always friendly & professional. Which is why - for its price - it’s really value for money. It’s set in a bustling part of the city which feels like Dhaka. Not swanky upper market but real and more importantly safe. I choose it for its proximity to the venue of the Dhaka Lit Fest.

I was there with my mom, husband, and nephew. They have a few good services such as a buffet breakfast, bar, haircut service, etc. There is a flip side and we had multiple bad experiences there-- they stole cash from my mom's room and then came up with a made-up story that somebody from our room threw a wallet (that's my mom's wallet). It fell on their employee's head who happened to be walking in the street at that very right time. He found the wallet and returned it to our room, of course, the money was gone by the time they handed it over to us. The truth is we were out of town for a day-long trip on that day and nobody could open their window as it is permanently closed. So, obviously, it was their staff who had access to our room. Nobody higher up came to investigate the incident or to apologize to us, reimbursement for the loss is a far dream there. They also stole my branded sunglass.…

Dear Sir, You stayed with us for a few nights, but on the day of check-out, you wanted a complimentary 8 pm check-out. But we reasonably rendered our best effort to please you by pleading with higher management, we informed you any check-out past 3 pm will incur a half charge, and past 6 pm, will incur a full night charge. And this is not on our hand, as the software automatically stamps this bill, if you fall outside the free check-out hour of 3 pm. But please note, our property check-out time is 12:00 pm. We are not sure why you would raise question about losing money from your room on TripAdvisor but not to us directly on Front Desk. As for that unfortunately incident, your kid who accidentally perhaps during his play time, in some unfortunate turn of events, the metal key fell from the window. But fortunately, it fell on a seemingly empty area of the footpath (leaving no one injured), when the pavement is flooded with passerby. But there was never a wallet in the scenario. So again, we are not sure, why you would present what has transpired in a completely new manner. As a property we are bound by policies, we wish we could have given you a complimentary upgrade, but you stayed for only two nights. Had you stayed for say 5 nights or more, at least that would have given something to work with, we could have went to management and convinced them to waive this charge from the software from IT team, regarding the 8 pm check-out. We did try, but sadly the result was futile. We are a small property and every good review makes us proud and every bad review makes us sad, but gives us something to work with, but reviews like yours, where we are not sure, writing feedback from a place of grudge or bad feelings, it just hurts our morale Sir. We just sincerely request you to give a fair account of your experience, to us and to every establishment elsewhere. May the good times and good fortunes be with you always. A Saucy bar in town I found this bar in its hotel web page. Visited with my colleague. A very smart bar with great hospitality. World class alcohol is available. Not that much crowdy. Price is higher than I found on its page. Sound is noisy. Overall, considered as a enjoyable place.

I recently completed a two-week visit to Bangladesh and stayed at three different hotels. I will not only review them in detail but give an overview of my experience of budget hotels in Bangladesh as a tourist. Most of my thoughts, comments, and opinions on all three of these properties are the same so there will be some copying and pasting in these reviews. Tourists wishing to arrive in Bangladesh and receive a visa on arrival (VOA) are advised to have hotel bookings and Proof of Onward Travel (POOT). I made both hard and digital copies of all my bookings and they were checked at both the airline check-in counter and immigration in Dhaka. However, no one was interested in more than a few days of hotel bookings and I only presented hotel reservations for the first four nights. This is important for those of us who are plan-as-you-go travelers and don’t like to make bookings ahead of time. In the future, I will only book the first few nights and see how that goes. I ended up canceling several reservations (bookings) I made through Agoda because I changed my plans, and now, I have no doubt you can get a better price by simply walking in. On with the review of Hotel 71: This hotel was recommended by a friend, is close to the Old City, and makes an excellent base to explore the city. It is considered by many to be the best hotel in the city for foreigners. Perhaps because they have a bar/lounge. This is a typical Asian city-center budget hotel: it is very dated, and grotty, and could use some serious remodeling, maintenance, and paint. Having said that, the room and bathroom were clean enough, and the air-conditioning and hot water worked reasonably well. Unfortunately, there were cockroaches in both the room and bathroom. A complimentary breakfast was included in the price. The wi-fi was so-so. I had several loads of laundry done here. It was very reasonably priced and was completed in one day. I give the housekeeping staff five out of five dots. I canceled my booking through Agoda and paid a walk-in rate of 4000 BDT ($39 USD). The front desk staff claimed that the less expensive rooms were all fully booked. The room was large and comfortable so I was reasonably happy to pay this rate. I would probably stay here again as there don't appear to be any better choices.…
