I don’t even know where to begin… my room was comfortable and practical, and the location was absolutely ideal. I also really enjoyed meeting and talking with fellow travelers, especially during breakfast. However the highlight for me during my week stay at Envoy was the staff. The helpfulness, sincerity, and kindness of everyone at Envoy is was really warrants the high rating for this hostel tucked away near a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the city center and just around the corner from my favorite restaurant and coffee shop street, M. Saroyan St. I’ve stayed in five star, luxury hotels where the service wasn’t even comparable. Whether assisting with a local or out of town tour booking, helping to locate last minute covid testing sites, recommending unique adventures or wonderful coffee or culinary experiences, the staff will bend over backwards to help. I seriously felt like family during my stay, and commented many times since my return that while at a hotel the week before, I’m not sure I talked to anyone, but at Envoy it was easy to chat with staff or fellow guests. I loved it. And wasn’t even the oldest person there :-)

Spent three nights, didn’t get the chance to mingle because I had a tight hiking schedule but had a great stay. The hostel is perfection situated in Yerevan and everything is in walking distance. Special shout out to Marine for her assistance with the booking, logistics and guidance. Another shout out to Nelly, Edgar and Gevorg for their energy, enthusiasm and good help and assistance.

Envoy isn’t the slickest hostel you’ll ever stay at. But it will certainly be one of the best managed and best staffed. Envoy runs a tight operation. They are truly 24/7 as in a human is by the door at all hours. They speak fluent English. Staff goes above & beyond in assisting guests with whatever their travelers’ tasks may be. What’s different is that the entire Envoy staff gets hands on. If you need a zipper fixed, they find a shop, call the shop, and get price estimates so you know what you’re walking in to. They help with PCR tests, they book ride shares to whatever destination and call to confirm for you a few hours before pickup. Arpiné, Marine, and Nelly smooth your path. I am confident Envoy owners are well aware what a competent crew they’ve assembled (including the cleaning staff). Thank you for your help during my stay, and I look forward to visiting again. I wish every hostel was as capable as Envoy.

Amazed by the hospitality and the warm atmosphere, I was so happy I stayed at this hostel! Lovely Marine and the rest of her team made my stay to an unforgettable one! They put a lot of effort to make you feel like home. I stayed in a private room which was clean. The common shower- and bathroom was clea and the breakfast very good in the common area. The hostel offers tours and I was obligated to spend some time on the roads and in the Armenian nature with lovely hostel worker Marine, she explained everything with such enthusiasm. I would strongly recommend to stay here if you are on a budget travel, you won’t find a better hostel than Envoy, well located in Yerevan city close to restaurants and shops. I hope to beck again!

Thoroughly enjoyed my Enlightened Armenia tour with the extremely knowledgeable and personable Arpinet. Supported by a professional driver this tour is highly recommended. If you tried to do all of the sights independently on public transport it may well take 3 days.
