Unsafe for females

There was an american male guest living at the hostel who on 2 consecutive nights woke up 1 female guest in his own room, then myself the next night in a room which he wasn't sleeping in. He located my bed by shining a flashlight into my face being forcible, attempting to climb into my bed. I was able to fend him off. This was reported to the staff who said they can't kick him out because he owes them 8 days of money. The staff were barbaric to me, and told me to lock my hostel door that night to make sure he doesn't come in because he would remain in the hostel, and risk this happening to other women in his room. The female reception staff member said he had done this before and other women had asked to leave his room. I would advise no female traveller to stay here. They have no regard for your safety. If this guy does end up leaving, they have no morals about this happening again from my experience. "Thanks for letting us know" - reception staff…

Dear anon6433336 We are lost for words. In 18 years of operation, we have never had such a circumstance. First and foremost, we are deeply apologetic for our inadequate response to the incident at the time it happened. Having spoken at length to all our reception staff we have understood, there has not been any other complaint other than these 2 incidents involving this same guest. Our reception, with their lack of exposure to such occurrences had shown a relaxed response as they had not understood the severity of the situation and implications of letting this guest stay – leading to an incorrect decision. Our reception team should have handled the situation better and called the police. They do know now! Management has now set a clear action plan to ensure such situations are avoided and managed correctly with appropriate response, always ensuring guest safety. This includes instigating a blacklisting procedure for guests with unacceptable behaviour, updating our operating manual according to our new action plan and conducting regular training for our team. In all our years, we have always provided a safe environment and shown care and respect to all our guests. We are extremely sorry we have let you down and mortified to think of how you must have felt. Please accept our deepest and sincere apologies.

a good option

I stayed in the 4 bed dorm at Envoy Hostel. Not a huge room but definitely enough space. Each bed has a light and plug and the room has A/C. The hang out space/lounge/kitchen is huge and has lots of seating plus the kitchen has everything you could ever want. And other guests left food out to share. A great vibe even if you're relaxing there by yourself. Envoy hostel is in center of Yerevan and an easy walk to the sites. Or to various amazing supermarkets . Only time I took the metro was from the train station. Hostel has a travel agency but prices were a bit high so I went with another company. I didn't chat too much with the front door staff but they seemed friendly. This was the only hostel I stayed at one my trip that provided free towels so bonus points for that.

Envoy Hostel in Yerevan Lives Up to its Brand

I had the opportunity to stay at Envoy Hostel in Yerevan for two nights, and I must say, the overall experience was fantastic. While it was my first time staying at this specific location, I am no stranger to the Envoy Hostel brand. They consistently deliver excellent service and maintain high-quality standards for their guests. The only minor concern I had was that the hostel layout was a bit complicated. To reach our private double room, we needed to pass through the main hostel area and exit through a locked door at the back before finally entering our room. It might not be an issue for some but we felt a little lazy if we want to go back to the hostel or to the pantry. Anyhow, still the hostel is great, the staff are amazing and I will still come back to this hostel.

Centrally Located

I stayed here for three nights while visiting Yerevan. This hostel is in a very central location. Many place to eat and drink near by. All the main attractions are within walking distance. I had a private room and bathroom. It was basic and clean enough. The staff were also very friendly. Overall, Envoy was perfect for my needs and I would stay again.

Amazing tour from Yerevan

I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for the tours. Our guide Mr.Edgard was very knowledgeable about Armenia. They took us to several monasteries and a lunch at a local’s home. I took 2 days from them and both of them were perfectly planned. Thank you so much for making my trip to Armenia special.

A comfortable and beautiful hostel with nice staff

A really beautiful and cozy hostel. It's located in Pushkin Street which is pretty close to republic square. We booked a 4-bed dormitory room. The staff are really nice and helping. I loved the aesthetic and decorations of the common room, and let's mention the fact that it's pretty clean and neat.

Nice stay

The price is good. The location is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's clean. Unfortunately the WiFi connection isn't good, you can't connect while sitting in the common room. The tours are not happening sadly. All in all compared to the branch in Tbilisi, I prefer the one in Tbilisi.

Private transfer with the best driver

I booked a private transfer from Yerevan to Tbilisi with Envoy Tours via mail, 2-3 days prior my planned trip. The booking process itself was perfect, especially as I first only wanted to get a quote before deciding on what to actually do. I forwarded my travel plans (transfer included stops at various sights) and changed these accordingly to my budget, but also further travel itinerary. Envoy Tours however was always helpful and offered me reasonable prices and responses within few hours. On the day of the tour, as expected, my driver Hamlet showed up perfectly on time. Even though we couldn't communicate much, I had a great trip with him and felt very safe throughout the journey. He was a very good driver and I never felt unsafe on the Armenian or Georgian roads. Crossing the borders was also no problems, as Hamlet described everything I needed to do just as we got to the borders. I personally hadn't prepared anything, but wasn't worried as from the start I felt in good hands. Thanks again to the tour team for organising everything and to my driver for making my trip and transfer as smooth as it was…

Envoy hostel

This hostel is one of the bests . It is clean and the prices are realy well . They have lots of different options ,8 beds dormitory 4 beds and more . the internet quality was good enough . we satyed at 8 beds dormitory and internet coverage was good and even in kitchen we had a high speed connection. The receptions were one of the advantage of this hostel . They are friendly , hospital and helpfull . i got lots of information from them and they are ready to help you . The breakfast is included in prices and the quality is good enough . the rooms are super clean and a woman cleans the rooms every day . bathroom was clean always and i suggest you to stay here . and also the location is their advantage it is in center of the city and we didnt take taxi even 1 time . we could reach any where with just 5 min walking . nice hostle i hope to stay there again one day.…

Best staff! Enjoyed WAY more than a “regular” hotel.

I don’t even know where to begin… my room was comfortable and practical, and the location was absolutely ideal. I also really enjoyed meeting and talking with fellow travelers, especially during breakfast. However the highlight for me during my week stay at Envoy was the staff. The helpfulness, sincerity, and kindness of everyone at Envoy is was really warrants the high rating for this hostel tucked away near a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the city center and just around the corner from my favorite restaurant and coffee shop street, M. Saroyan St. I’ve stayed in five star, luxury hotels where the service wasn’t even comparable. Whether assisting with a local or out of town tour booking, helping to locate last minute covid testing sites, recommending unique adventures or wonderful coffee or culinary experiences, the staff will bend over backwards to help. I seriously felt like family during my stay, and commented many times since my return that while at a hotel the week before, I’m not sure I talked to anyone, but at Envoy it was easy to chat with staff or fellow guests. I loved it. And wasn’t even the oldest person there :-)…
