HyeLandz Eco Village Resort is for everyone who loves nature and animals. It is situated in the small village of Geghadir on Yerevan-Garni highway 15 km southeast of Yerevan and only 25 minutes drive from the city. The famous Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery, Garni Gorge, Azat River, Khosrov Forest State Reserve, Havuts Tar Monastery and Charents' Arch are within close proximity of the village. HyeLandz Eco Village Resort represents a unique choice of stylish village dwellings from Armenian tufa stone houses to charming log cabins and modern units. HyeLandz Eco Village Resort offers all the comforts for adults and children to enjoy their stay with fully equipped rooms and recreational facilities, a state of the art conference room catering for groups of more than 50 participants, a bar, a large newly built events hall and splendid gardens with fruit trees, vegetables and greens. At the resort you can see a great variety of domestic animals such as ducks, geese, chickens, goats, birds, dogs, cats, donkeys, horses etc. At HyeLandz guests can watch or take part in the process of lavash baking in the tonir house and butter churning in Armenian khnotsi. A variety of home made vodka, liqueur and cognac is available for consumption and stored in the resort's cellar. There are also beehives in the resort area and guests can take part in honey extraction process on honey extraction days. HyeLandz organizes familiarization tours around the resort and sightseeing of nearby places of interest. As the main objective of ecotourism is to build environmental and cultural awareness and respect, HyeLandz management has installed solar powered systems in the resort area to create ecologically clean environment and use all resources more efficiently for a greener Armenia.

Most hotels in Armenia are drab structures, indifferent service, nothing to write home about. However, Hyelandz is something special and different than the rest. The Resort is actually a destination in itself. Caroline Zakarian and her husband are the quintessential hosts. We were treated as family, with the Resort as home. The place is beautiful, very eco-friendly, and the meals were superb! The rooms are spacious, the grounds are beautiful, the staff is very helpful, and the whole experience is simply wonderful. We are going to make a point of returning to Armenia just to stay at Hyelandz again. I highly recommend the homemade wine and other treats that the Zakarians personally produce, as well as the homemade breads, which are simply wonderful. Book the honeymoon suite if possible, for gorgeous views.

This beautiful hotel is located 25 outside Yerevan. It is green and peaceful. The owners Aurther and Caroline are very attentive. The accommodation are clean, modern and spacious. So you have the benefits of this quiet green valley with its abundant fruiting trees, outstanding organic restaurant and taxis that are so inexpensive. My Friends spent the day in Yerevan and I had fun milking goats in the morning, followed by a lovely walk. After a shower and delicious lunch of home made bread, soup and goat cheese ( of course) Arthur called a Taxi and I traveled 25 min to one of Arminia’s oldest Monasteries. The Taxies wait for you. I felt safe and cared for as a solo female traveler. In addition my plane arrived at 3:30 am and they provided airport transport at a small cost. To find lodge that prides themselves on providing largely organic, locally sourced meals was priceless. In a long trip filled with large cities, this quiet peaceful abundant setting was a blessing.

I have been in HyeLandz many times with family and/or friends. Every time I discover here something very interesting and tasty. Mix of homemade Western and Eastern Armenian dishes and drinks are really delicious and made with Love. The owners - Caroline and Arthur are exceptional people and really enjoy what they are doing. You can spent a wonderful night here at the very nice and comfortable hotel rooms, far from city noise and heat. This is the place where You must do everything to go when You are in Armenia.

We stayed over Easter weekend for some rest and relaxation before heading into the city (Yerevan). What a gem this place is! We had a wonderful and spacious family room and it was so great to have coffee on the balcony in the morning and listen to the animals “waking up.” We ate three meals a day at the restaurant and didn’t have a bad meal...and we had great service by Yacoub! We got to know the owner Arthur very well and whenever we asked for something he quickly obliged. It’s this level of service that makes it a wonderful place to stay. Get out of the city and go experience nature a bit!

Its like the "Fantasy Island" of Armenia. Home grown, "ORGANIC" Apricots, mulberries, raspberries, beets, tomatoes , cucumbers, onions ,Herbs.......Plus Organic Honey and Cheeses all made on the Ranch.....Plus..Amazing peach , raspberry and other Vodkas and Liquors all hand made there on the premises...... Lavish tables full of fresh Ethnic feasts made in their kitchen... Hospitality beyond comprehension.... Was my third time there and will go back soon. Its a beautiful Luxurious mountain getaway at VERY reasonable prices. Plus Caroline and Arthur (Owners ) are on-site full time and will help you plan and assist with any and all excursions...... A definite stop if your in Armenia !!!!!

It was my first time travelling to Armenia, but surely it won’t be the last! I spent 2 days at Hyelandz Eco Village Resort in Geghadir, and all I can say is: I found a second home. The warm hospitality, the relaxing feeling and atmosphere of the rooms, the heavenly green surrounding were all what any tourist wishes to have on a holiday. Then there are the kind people, the friendly vibes, the welcoming and the daily interaction, which all make you realize you are as pampered as you are in your own home. If you are into drinks, you definitely shouldn’t miss the home-made wine, a wine that you have with various choices of organic food. Whether you are alone, with your soul mate, or with your family and friends, this place should be definitely on your to-visit list!

After hearing how great is this hotel, we decided to go with our Canadian, American & Lebanon friends & family members to this resort. We called to reserve, before reserving we asked if pets are allowed (we had with us a mini size beagle and a 3 month old husky) and we were told that they are allowed in the resort but not in the rooms (this conversation happened with the General Manager Ms. Alicia & the co-owner Mrs. Caroline. And since our dogs are small, we decided to take their cages with us so they sleep in the cages because there are other larger dogs on the property. On our arrival, when our parents were checking in, the other owner Mr. Arthur Zakarian, comes furiously at us, shouting, yelling, disrespecting , and saying that dogs are forbidden on his property. He then disrespected his hotel manager, his wife the co-owner and most importantly his clients. Asking him to calm down, and trying to explain to him that we drove an hour to reach here and before coming we were told that dogs are allowed, he just wouldn't stop shouting and kicking us off the property saying goodbye. Anyway, we recorded the incident on video because this was an unacceptable behavior & an unfortunate experience.

Despite the fact that you were told several times (during the 8 phone calls before coming) not to come with your dogs you still brought them and tried to enter the property with the dogs walking in freely. My husband was upset when you tried not to accept our rules and tried to intimidate him. As you mentioned yourself judging from 99% of our reviews we are well known for our kindness and hospitality. I’m sorry that you had a bad experience.

Caroline and Arthur have created a magical home from home where the standard of accommodation is excellent, the homegrown and lovingly prepared food is delicious, and nothing whatsoever is too much trouble. With spectacular views set amidst beautiful grounds (complete with funky sculptures and everything from goats to puppies) this is the place to come for a slice of peace and tranquility. Only 30 minutes outside Yerevan it is the perfect getaway. And as for the family wedding they hosted for us......spectacular. Thank you.
