The hotel was very good value for money. We had a big and quiet room with a very nice balcony. The hotel is walking distance from the beach and a lot of restaurants. We were backpacking and we washed here our clothes. They were nicely hand washed and they were ready very quick.

This was booked for us by our easy rider guide. What a good choice for $16 USD excluding breakfast. Our room was at the back of the hotel and contained 2 double beds and the best en suite we have had in our trip. It was nice to have a fully contained shower cubicle. The staff

"The hotel is situated about 5 minutes walk from the sea. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the street and neighbouring area. The little restaurant on the left-handside as you come out of the Sao Mai serves nice simple food. Mai Loc Photo Gallery, next to the hotel, is well worth visiting. There are some superb black and white portraits of hill tribe people superbly photographed. An ideal place to purchase some original photos from a genuine and excellent photographer, a true artist."
