Le Méridien Saigon earns high marks for its exemplary service, with particular praise for the professional staff at the Club Lounge and front desk. While the accommodations are generally celebrated for their spaciousness and pristine river views, a few guests have pointed out that some rooms could benefit from updates and better maintenance. The hotel's atmosphere is often described as modern and luxurious, though not without the occasional critique of it feeling somewhat dark. Amenities are a standout feature, with guests enjoying the diverse dining options, upscale club lounge, and a well-appointed gym and pool that boasts panoramic views. The value proposition is mixed; some travelers consider the hotel pricey, yet others feel the amenities and prime location near city attractions justify the cost. Cleanliness throughout the hotel is consistently lauded, contributing to the overall positive experience at Le Méridien Saigon.

I think this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Saigon.
The room is spacious and comfortable . We got the river view which was fantastic to watch the fireworks and the Bason bridge. The restroom is always well lit, well ventilated. I love the floor plan of the room and the restroom. Our room is right outside of the elevator but I did not notice much noise. The street noise can be noticeable, especially the honking is annoying even we were on the 18th but it was something we expected when booking a hotel on one of the busiest streets of the District 1. The street noise was significantly less noticeable when we closed the shade so that is one way to cope with that. Did I mention the garden tub? It is just delightful to have a tub big enough to fully immerse yourself in after a long day of exploring the city. Hear me out, not all 5-star hotels in Saigon offer a garden tub so this is definitely a bonus point.
The breakfast buffet is so-so. The pho broth is good but the noodles and meat just went downhill around Tet time. Well I guess the main kitchen crew took off for the Tet and did not come back until after Tet. But we love the variety of drinks, soup, fruits, proteins, and bakery goods. We are Platinum elite members so we got admitted to the club lounge on the 22nd floor. There are drinks throughout the day and food from 5pm-10pm. This saved us several times because many restaurants closed during Tet.
The services were top-notch. The employees are always friendly, helpful, and attentive. I love seeing their smiles every morning and every time we came back to the hotel. They even helped me navigate which restaurants opened during Tet. I am forever grateful for your help and services.
Transportation was easy to and from the hotel. That was my biggest concern when we booked this hotel because it is a bit far away from the central part of District 1. In the past we stayed at the hotels closer to the Nguyen Hue boulevard for all the activities; but during Tet, Nguyen Hue boulevard is closed and turned into a pedestrian street so we decided to stay a bit further away to avoid all the traffic, road closures. Luckily, transportation was easy breezy. We stayed on one of main streets going to and leaving District 1 so it was super easy to leave and arrive at the hotel. In addition, metro Bason station is right around the corner, next to Starbucks which offers super quick and convenient way to get to Ben Thanh and Opera House. Did I mention it is super affordable as well? I remember paying like $0.25 for one way/one person ticket.
We definitely are coming back to this hotel for all our future trips to Saigon. We finally found our favorite hotel

My family and I stayed here for the first time in Saigon. From beginning to end of our stay, the service has been nothing short of top notch. The front desk receptionists, Tina and Karley, made sure our check in process was smooth and was able to assist us throughout our stay—from currency exchange, to recommendations, and even assisted with our luggage storage for our short trip away from HCMC. There are always wonderful gentlemen assisting us with our luggage to our room and to our cars, and the housekeeping staff are truly exceptional and detailed. Additionally, the Latest Recipe restaurant serves a beautiful breakfast buffet spread with plenty of local and foreign options. The hosts there remember us by name and even remember our drink orders before we sit down at the table. Maru and Nhan were also very attentive and brought us our coffee and fresh coconuts every morning! The juices are pressed fresh to order and lots of local fruits such as Logan, dragonfruit, guava, and jackfruit are offered daily. With these fresh fruit offerings, we don’t have to venture to the markets since we get our daily fix every morning! In addition to offering chicken and beef pho (as a native Vietnamese, I can say it tastes veryyy good), they offer a revolving noodle soup dish that we look forward to every day-bun cha ca, bun bo hue and banh Canh are a few examples.

As a Marriott Ambassador elite, I’ve stayed at many, many hotels. However, I can confidently say this has truly been the best experience of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at! All of the hotel staff have made our stay here truly an exceptional experience. I’m looking forward to coming back to this hotel in the next few weeks! Le Meridian is truly an unrivaled hotel in HCMC!!

My husband and I stayed in Le Meridien Saigon for 5 nights for our honeymoon trip. The hotel kindly arranged for us a guest room on the 16th floor overlooking the Saigon River. We had a spectacular 180 degree view of the river banks, the innovatively designed Thu Thiem 2 Bridge that spans the river, and as far as the magnificent Landmark 81 Tower. We could sit by the window all night long marvelling at the gorgeous view.

Apart from the perfect view, the hotel also enjoys a convenient location in the city centre. Most of the major tourist attractions are accessible in 10 to 15 mins by Grab car, which cost around VND 34,000 (USD 1.43) per trip. This is just perfect for tourists who want to save time and hassle.

The hospitality shown by hotel staff was exceptional. We were completely amazed by the beautiful “Happy Honeymoon” decoration on the bed, which must have taken the staff quite a lot of time and effort. We could not take enough pictures of it. I am not going to spoil the surprise by putting photos here, but I am sure that all newlyweds will be impressed.

Special mention must be given to the duty manager Cathy, who received us at the front desk and arranged the room for us. Knowing that this was our time to Vietnam, she kindly gave us her number in case we needed help when we were out. We must also thank the concierge team for helping receive a bouquet of roses ordered by my husband from an online shop and having it delivered to our room as a surprise for me. It was also very nice of Cathy to find us a vase for keeping the roses.

The housekeeping team also did a fantastic job. Ms Hao, housekeeping lady of the 16th floor, spared no effort to ensure that our room was clean and tidy every day. All the surfaces in our room, the vanity top, the bath and shower surrounds were spotless. Used towels and toiletries were promptly replaced and we never had to ask for extra. Ms Hao was so nice that she even made us little pigs and penguins with the hotel small towels! How I wish I could take them home with us!

We could not be happier with our stay at Le Meridien Saigon. Everything was so well-arranged that we needed not make one single call to the front desk. We were truly grateful to the hotel staff for going above and beyond to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. The buffet breakfast was fabulous and great value for money. We would not hesitate to recommend Le Meridien Saigon to any traveller who plans to visit Ho Chi Minh City.

Dear Janice, First and foremost, thank you for choosing Le Meridien Saigon as your special honeymoon holiday in your most recent journey. I had a great stay—everything felt comfortable and exceeded my expectations. Before making the reservation, I actually preferred another Marriott property located just 1 km away. Based on my past experiences, Le Méridien, which was originally an SPG brand, is not as good as the original Marriott brand. However, this stay was truly comfortable.
As a Titanium member, I was upgraded to a river-view room, which was a nice touch. Despite the property being 10 years old, the decor still feels modern. The swimming pool is of standard length, with clean water and a scenic river view—it’s a great place to relax.
The Executive Lounge was one of the best experiences I’ve had in the Marriott chain. Unlike many hotels in China or Europe that offer only limited beverages, food, and service with just 1-2 staff members, this lounge provided enthusiastic service with a well-staffed team. The Happy Hour was sumptuous, featuring tasty food and drinks. The staff replenish the food very promptly. This was really remarkable. Everyone was kind, and I believe the positive work environment is why there are so many excellent staff members. I can’t remember everyone’s name, but I especially want to thank Sherly for her kindness.
Next time I return to Saigon, I’ll definitely stay here again.

A Marriott hotel on the Mekong River. The staff are all very courteous and firm, and seem authentic and polite rather than friendly. An interesting structure in which the swimming pool is located inside the building but is open to the outside without external walls. It is not affected by rain but is not a complete indoor pool.

The club lounge is a quiet and peaceful place to stay, but at hors d'oeuvres when I stayed consecutively, it was very crowded on weekends. On weekdays, on the other hand, the atmosphere was laid-back, giving a sense of the original club lounge. Also, the young male staff in the lounge (whose name I missed) looked rustic and offered me a variety of cocktails, with meticulous attention to detail. I was truly satisfied with his kind-hearted hospitality.

All staff are "professional" and we strongly encourage you to stay at this hotel.

Le Meridien is a very nice modern hotel in a great location with an accommodating and friendly staff. Eddie at the front door helped us with all our questions about the city and getting around town. The restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed the buffets at breakfast and dinner. The seafood was plentiful and cooked to order. Vy, Chef Pho, and Eddy were very helpful and friendly in the restaurant. The best croissants I have had.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Nhan and Phuong took good care of our room. We enjoyed the city view. The gym was well equipped. The infinity pool had a beautiful river view. We enjoyed drinks in the Barson Lounge. The front desk staff was great to work with.

There is a large blind that covers the window between the bathroom and the bedroom for privacy. Notre Dame Cathedral is under a 10-year renovation, but you can attend mass. A large church supply/book store and the beautiful Runam d'Or cafe are across the street from the cathedral.

Went over new year. Good view of fireworks from room or restaurant but didnt think display very good. The hotel great. Staff lovely couldnt do enough for you. Room clean had a king size bed was huge could fit another person in it and so comfortable. The food well Iv never seen anything like it the buffet was out of this world with every food you could think of even fruit laid out for you to chose for a smoothie anything you liked, very indulgent. The pool I felt a little small and when asked for a cocktail came up in a plastic tumbler I know plastic around the pool but there are plastic cocktail glasses about. Gym nice size.

Dear guest, Thank you for your stay and feedback and a Happy New Year again! Our view, especially on New Years Eve is indeed stunning and I am glad that you could enjoy it together with us. The kitchen will be excited to read your compliments about our buffets. Despite a poor welcome and check in experience, the hotel really made up for it and came through shining! The room was in good condition, the breakfast was of a really high standard (especially the pastries, omelette quality, fresh juices and pancakes) and probably one of the best Marriott breakfasts I've experienced (and at the top of the really high standard in Asia's Marriotts). The staff in the club lounge, especially Fairy, were excellent. A good choice of premium spirits and alcohol in the evenings in the lounge and a decent snack selection, both hot and cold. The location is relatively close to the tourist attractions (10 - 20 minutes) but Grab taxis were also plentiful and cheap. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Saigon.

Yet another great stay at Le Meridien, Saigon

I always feel welcome as soon as I arrive. Was very fortunate to be looked after my Rachel, who always makes that special effort to make sure that all is good with the room

Great level of service, especially on the members lounge which is on floor 22. The lounge is a great place to have a few drinks in the free bar and to have a bite to eat before heading off out for an evening

Room and laundry service is good with food being delivered within 20-30 minutes

Hotel is good value for money

The modern hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the center, right on the river bank. The very large, inviting lobby with plenty of seating invites you to linger. The reception staff is very attentive.

Due to my Marriott status, I got a very nice executive room with a city view. However, as I had deliberately booked a river view beforehand, this "upgrade" was a bit unfortunate, but that was the only drawback during my stay.

The executive rooms are very modern and, above all, very spacious (with a separate seating area) and equipped with all the necessary amenities.

I would like to give special praise to the executive lounge and especially its staff. Individual personal care is a top priority there, no matter what time of day I visited it. Wonderful view in several directions

The absolute highlight is the pool in the middle of the hotel on the 9th floor, which is open on one side and also offers a fantastic view!

The hotel also has a restaurant called "Saigon Kitchen", which I did not visit.

All in all, a very nice stay, which I would repeat despite the many other hotel options in Ho Chi Minh City.
