Nice location central to many shopping and eating destinations w/in HCMC. $2-5 USD taxi rides gets you to most places in a jiffy. Breakfast buffet has a great selection of food and fruit. Staff is very accommodating. Roof top poolside bar is a lovely breezy place to have an evening cocktail. Rooms are comfortable although our floor got noisy when they booked all the surrounding rooms with unaccompanied and inconsiderately loud teenagers who hung out in the hallway, banging on doors, going in and out and yelling from 10:15 pm onwards.

We spent three nights in the Liberty Central Saigon Riverside. The location could not be beaten. It is just round the corner from the main streets that visitors would wish to walk along. Our room on the 15th floor was high enough to be away form the noise of the traffic on the road outside and low enough to be far from the bar on the 25th floor. We had a spectacular view over the river.
The hotel was functional without being particularly special. The room was comfortable. The shower worked well. The safe was useful. The bed was reasonably comfortable. WiFi signal was good if a little slow. A few more sockets would have been useful. There was a generous buffet for breakfast offering a wide choice of local and international dishes. Staff were helpful., especially receptionists who changed some large domination notes for us.
In summary, it was a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Saigon.

We were in VN for a month exploring and meeting relatives for the first time in 49 years. Third week, my husband and I had a pre-booked golf package which included 5 rounds of golf and 6 nights stay at the Liberty Central Saigon Riverside. The hotel faces the river which makes it a nice evening stroll. Although this hotel is not conveniently close to walking distance to the cheap eats and affordable shopping ( Saigon Square, Saigon Center, Ben Thanh Market), you can easily order a Grab (version of Uber). Download the app Grab, the wait time is fast 2-3 min and cheap ride! When we travel to other cities, we can easily walk 25 min to a destination but in Ho Chi Minh City, we don't even want to try walking and crossing the streets with all the scooters & cars in every direction!
Pros: -Smooth hotel check in and check out -Very friendly, helpful and attentive staff especially: concierge staff Hien, Hoa and Thanh, wait staff in the restaurant Vy, Uyen, F&B manager An and the staff at the Spa -Nice clean room & comfortable bed -Nice and clean bathroom. hot shower -Breakfast buffet was well laid out, a variety of Western & Asian foods, made to order eggs, hot bowl of pho, croissants, etc. We ordered our Americano every morning. We did not go hungry before our round of golf, so much delicious food! -Spa- massage is great -Rooftop pool is nice
Cons: -No drawers to put our clothes, we left them in our packing cubes in our suitcase -No door for the shower so you get water on the bathroom floor, but that seems to be the norm in Vietnam hotels
***We very much enjoyed our stay at the Liberty Central Saigon and this is due partly to the high level of service we received. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We arrived at this hotel having just visited La Siesta Hang Be in Hanoi and the difference between the two hotels could not have been greater.
Im not one to scrabble around looking for minor scrapes and marks in hotel rooms however as can be seen from the photos, this hotel is in dire need of maintenance and cleaning.
Bed was missing a leg, windows filthy, under the bed full of dirt and a previous guests slipper, stains on the wall and chipped fittings. Bed sheet had two holes in it.
One tea bag and one sachet of sugar for two of us in the room on two consecutive days, and only two tiny bottles of water for drinking and brushing teeth.
On a positive note the bathroom was clean and the breakfast was reasonable although the tea needs to be served hotter and it tasted like warm water.
And ironically when we checked out we were charged extra as were told there was hair dye stains on two towels that simply wash out of our towels back home.
As we stated at this hotel as part of a package I don’t know how much we paid per night, but I wish we had stayed elsewhere and paid more.

Trailfinders booked our trip to this hotel stating it was 4stars. We arrived with our guide on a Sunday afternoon. The lobby smells of a sickly pungent air freshener that made our stomach turn and the same smell was in the elevator. We were traveling as a family so had asked for either interconnected rooms or rooms on same floor but high up to avoid street noise. We got interconnected rooms on the 3rd floor and when I asked. Could we change the reception staff were very unhelpful. The room was extremely noisy which resulted in 3 out of 4 of us getting minimal sleep. The rooms were cramped and not what I had experienced in Vietnam. The pool albeit nice was missing tiles and the cushions were torn. The breakfast was the worst we had in our 18 days in Vietnam. The hot Vietnamese coffee was cold, the fruit was not ripe, the choice was very limited and even the Pho was not up to the standard that we had come accustomed to in Vietnam. I had looked at reviews and thought the negatives were just moans but we experienced all the negatives. By far the worst thing was that we had booked to check in on the 1st of January from 2 to 7pm and when we got there the lady on reception was very rude to our guide. Told us there was only rooms on different floors and one was not ready, she did not tell us that the key card would not work between floors therefore leaving my 15 year old stranded on the fire escape of the 20th floor with no way to get back in. Thankfully a member of staff came up and was able to let her in. I do not believe this hotel should have a 4 star rating and I think it would be an idea to pay a little more for better service and the Vietnamese hospitality.

We had a good stay here. Family of 4 with 2 boys aged 10 and 12. The hotel was unable to provide a family room, or interconnecting rooms, but we were next door to each other.
The staff are the hotel’s best asset - friendly, helpful and very kind. The breakfast is great - something for everyone. Our kids loved being let loose! The beds are huge and comfortable with lovely soft sheets, and the showers are good with plenty of hot water and space for toiletries.
There were 3 main downsides for us. First, the noise: to be expected in such a central hotel, but on the 10th floor we found the window glazing inadequate. I was woken numerous times each night which was a shame. Second, given the hotel has a pool, there’s absolutely nowhere in the rooms to hang wet stuff to dry which is a pain. And last, it would be good if bathroom bins had lids, since toilet paper can’t be put in the toilet.

City centre hotel, good location with a great pool and bar on the top floor. Room was slightly disappointing, smallish, very limited toiletries (only one toilet roll, which only got replaced when it ran out) Two of the lamps in the room were broken, no dressing gowns to use going to the pool. No hooks to hang wet towels/swim stuff, one of the draws wouldn't close, so every day we wedged it closed with a tissue, only for it it be taken out by housekeeping. The bathroom had a glass wall (with a pull down blind) but thought this was hilarious, there nothing romantic about seeing your partner on the toilet, haha! The pool area was very nice, fab views over the river and city, but it would be nice if they kept the glass/view clean, also some of the rattan furniture was a bit worn, so you had be the careful not to scratch you legs when sitting down. My husband and I stayed at the Liberty Central Riverside for 3 nights and were very disappointed with this hotel, especially the staff. For a hotel in the US, I would have given it 3 stars, but for the level of service we came to expect after 10 days traveling in Vietnam, this was just such a stark difference that I have to give 2. The hotel staff were not welcoming or very friendly. When you arrived after a day out, the reception staff didn’t even greet you or smile at you. I had lots of bags upon arrival and no one offered to help. We had upgraded to the Executive Suite and saw some guests receiving champagne upon arrival but we were given nothing and made to wait in the Executive lounge for 30 min till our room was ready and were given nothing. Our driver showed up 30 minutes early to pick us up for our departure and they called our room to let us know. We replied “thanks, he was supposed to be here at 1, we will be down then,” and then they called us again right at 1. I said “thanks, we are on the way down now” (which we were) and they said “well he has been waiting for 30 minutes.” I said “yes, I’m aware, he was early, he was supposed to be here at 1.” And they said “well it’s 1 now.” And I said “yes, as I said, we are on our way down now!” Just very impatient and very rude and the complete opposite of the over-the-top exceptional service we got at the Apricot Hotel in Hanoi and the Aspira Cruise in Halong Bay. We teared up leaving those places because the staff had been so kind and hospitable and felt like family by the end. This is NOT the experience you get at the Liberty Central Riverside. Also, the breakfast buffet is sub par.

Initially had high hopes..Needed to ask for additional shower gel as they didn't replace it once used and only one small shower gel provided. They could use soap dispensers if they were worried about plastic use etc. Pool was closed on our last night due to a private function which was frustrating as the pool looked nice and we didn’t know this prior to booking. Checking out we had to wait for someone to check the room before we could leave- we hadn’t had this before. The room next door had the tv really loud overnight, we had to ask reception a few times for them to check, they finally sent someone to listen from our room at 3am. Poor service throughout, no one really opens the door for you or helps with luggage. You need a room card to use the lift but if one person wants to go the pool/gym you get stuck as there’s only one room key we had to aak for another one!

Great hotel in a great location- close to so many things and places.
Plenty of room options though highly recommend upgrading to access the Executive room benefits- wide ranging and great value for relatively low cost
Our stay was made wonderful by Thanh and Phouc from Concierge who provided us with exemplary service, friendliness and exceeding our expectations for many aspects of our stay. Genuinely caring people who also taught us about Saigon and the people.

Sorry for the delay…
We looked into using Welcome Pickups but thought that we wouldn’t have a mobile phone for the company to contact us. Took the chance on regular taxi rank and were massively overcharged. Also the driver tried to drop us off at a different hotel.
The driver asked for the toll to be added to the fare and stated that it was 10x the actual cost.
I should add that it was the only time in three weeks that we were overcharged or ripped off.

In our experience travelling widely in SE Asia only 5* hotels have had personal ironing facilities in the room but in 4* you have to request
