Town House 50 is a little on the expensive side for a hostel/hotel in HCMC but we thought it was worth the extra price - it is in a central location but back off the street so not noisy at night, the staff are friendly, the breakfast is yummy and our private room was air conditioned, clean and spacious with...

Great little hostel with the BEST complimentary breakfast buffet I've ever seen. So healthy, lots of fruit to choose from, dumplings, spring rolls, bread with jam/butter/eggs, tea & coffee - ALL FREE! I don't even eat breakfast but broke my over a decade long habit to sample the breakfast as it was just too great to refuse. All laid out...

We stayed in their private rooms twice - before and after our trip to the Mekong Delta and were highly satisfied! The first room had a huge bathroom - almost could have danced a waltz in there and it was the first time you did not get the toilet wet when showering - a usual in Vietnam. The aircon worked...

We stayed here for two nights and were generally happy. The place is clean and quiet, though I spotted a few cockroaches at night (a product of the hot climate and hard to ward against). Breakfast was included and consisted of eggs (scrambled or fried), bread, and a buffet of fruit and vegetables. Well located - close to the war...

We stayed in a triple private room with bathroom - there was only two of us but it was the only room left! This hostel is more like a hotel from our experience. The room was clean and spacious with a fridge, air con, tv and balcony. The bathroom was clean, other than the fact there was think black mould...

For a solo traveller, I found the Town House 50 excellent. The rooms/bathrooms are a bit tight, which was the only downfall for me. (6 bed female dorm) Although I have to say they were very comfortable and clean with big lockers provided. The breakfast was a great start to the day, with freshly cooked eggs, fresh fruit and bread....

We arrived in Ho Chi Minh city pretty late at night due to the last flight from Da Nang airport and so were quite exhausted when we reached the hostel. The staff was not very cooperative in terms of even offering a cup of tea at that hour. We had to rush to the nearest 24x7 supermarket and rush back...
