The hotel staff occasionally displayed rude behavior and attitude, from the front desk to the restaurant. The staff failed to smile or provide good customer service, with the exception of one apology from the restaurant staff. The egg station staff was particularly rude to our children one day. During checkout, the reception staff incorrectly charged one of our friends for a laundry bag that wasn't used. The rooms had issues, including small double beds, old furniture, and a lack of hooks in the bathroom. The corridors were dark, narrow, and had uneven steps. The lobby was small, with limited seating.
However, location was excellent. Breakfast menu had a variety. and other facilities including pool, jacuzzi, spa, gym and sauna were good. Roof top bar area was also good with a really good view and ambience.

We stayed two times in Alagon City Hotel while traveling South of Vietnam. It has a great location in Ho Chi Minh City, so you find mine nice restaurants nearby and the Ben Thanh Market is very close by. Please note that there's more than one Alagon hotel on this location, we stayed at "City". The rooms were overall quite used and worn out. In the first room, there was a distinct mould smell and they desperately tried to cover it with citrus flavours pumping out from one of these typical asian small scent diffusers. The second room was better, but still on the used side. Rooms are spacious, though.
Tables at breakfast were quickly cleaned in terms of removal of plates, but they never cleaned the tables. You may imagine how disgusting that was around 8:30.... We ended up eating at a couple of corner tables on the last day, as it was simply too much disgust for us...and we are not picky!

Hotel & Spa In the heart of Saigon. A good hotel in the central part of town, however too modernly located for me who would like to be close to genuine Vietnamese culture and architecture. If you want to achieve the genuine old-fashioned feeling, a hotel closer to DISTRICT 5 should be chosen.
This hotel is most of what you want from such a nice hotel, the room is spacious, bright with a pleasant interior, AC (air conditioning), fridge with freezer compartment, safety box, etc. Here you can enjoy the Sky bar, Spa, Pool, Restaurant etc.
But as everywhere, there are exceptions that we experienced upon our arrival where the room was far from living up to our expected standard. After we pointed out at the reception about what didn't feel right, our request for a room change was fulfilled in a very smooth way, so praise for that.
What was less good was that some staff in the restaurant did not know elementary everyday words and Basic English so that at least a convention could be held. This deficiency made e.g. the difficulty with food ordering.

They charge for absolutely everything, and it feels like every little service or amenity comes with an additional cost. From basics like Wi-Fi and parking to amenities that are usually included in most hotels, expect to be hit with hidden fees. While the property itself might be nice, the constant nickel-and-diming takes away from the experience. If you're considering staying here, be prepared to pay extra for every single thing, and make sure to factor that into your budget. Personally, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're okay with these additional charges, as it really detracts from what could have been a more enjoyable stay.

Don't go there. Do not accept rooms 129, 229, 329 and so on to climb.: damage on a cavedio with a very noisy heating or air conditioning system. Sleeping was impossible, and the change of room was not easy. The new room had only one bedside table and no abat-jour. Bathroom with bathtub, curtain and hand shower (if fixed it dispenses directly in the face). Local maze-type breakfast with people going back and forth looking for the elevator columns. Prices terrace bar “European”. On the other hand, there is a beautiful panoramic swimming pool.

A turd with glitter sprinkled on top, we where sat in the smoking area watching cockroaches and rats and later watched a rat run under the sofa IN THE RESTAURANT, after informing the staff within the restaurant nothing was done and no concern was shown. The room we was placed in was dark and dingy with no windows ( the only window was just a brick wall). We also didn’t have one good nights sleep at this hotel, some of the staff were rude (we asked if a coach could be booked and was then sent on an hour walk to not even be able to find the booking place). I would recommend avoiding this hotel. One good not though is a handful of the staff were very polite.

Consider to stay in this hotel or you will be charged 200,000 vnd for losing a plastic key which is 30% of your daily room rate. Although the receptionist said that they gave you the information in piece of paper upon check in Message for the owner: please review your policy. It doesn’t make sense to charge your customer 200,000vnd for the piece of plastic which is cost about 30,000 because they lost it by incident. Definitely NOT STAYING HERE again and NOT RECOMMEND to friends as well.

We booked this hotel for a family group of 10. We all had double rooms which are spacious for 2 adults and 2 children in each which is what two of us have. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is large. Comfy beds and rooms are well maintained. The buffet breakfast is excellent, plenty of choice for everyone each day including egg/ omelette station, toast, pastries and lots of Asian inspired dishes.
There is a roof top restaurant area, swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna/steam room that we’ve all used. Staff are really friendly and English has been great from everyone.
Location is excellent, close to Ben Thanh Market and we’ve walked for site seeing, coffees and to eat.
We would definitely book here again

Had a fantastic stay! Staff are friendly and do everything to make you feel comfortable. Especially Mark, he arranged a cake for my birthday and helped us with trips and transportation. We had had a bad experience at the airport, ripped off by a taxi driver, but Mark and his colleagues took us in well and tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible! Food was delicious, good service and everyone was really very sweet. Rooms were very clean, breakfast also super! And a cozy atmosphere in the rooftop bar with the nice jacuzzi! Enjoyed, our children did not want to go home!

I stayed here 2 nights but extended to 3 as it was so handy. Great position in town Breakfast options exceptional. They had all you needed for a comfortable stay... and more. Great pool Jacuzzi Dry spa Wet steam room ( the reason I booked here ) A very well-appointed gym with supply of bananas and water for after workout. The room was an executive suite, large well appointed and comfortable. King bed, relaxing sofa, the sound proof window ment you could not hear anything from outside. Only downside for me was the room was too big, which ment the air-conditioning struggled a bit. However it was not hot in there. I come from Australia where it is 8 degrees right now lol Service from all staff there was exceptional. I would love to stay here again on my next visit.
