Toilets were dirty, beds were okay, piss in the showers. Music goes on until 5 in the morning, mental people in the room. Pay 1/2$ more for a good place to stay and you’ll enjoy your sleep and stay in Saigon.

Exactly what I expected from a hostel! Everything was decent except for the dude with the man bun and his serious addiction to Busted and McFly- actuallly well above your average run of the mill rep, who went above and beyond his job role- super fun and with so many stories to tell and advice on how to navigate the city.

Teresa made the best Vietnamese coffees and was super welcoming, even showing me Chilly sky bar before we recruited some more travelers to buy t shirts for the pub crawl which was packed with people and a very memorable night, especially as Alice is always there to introduce solo travelers to each other as well as the groups- never an awkward moment with her bubbly personality.

Josh was super good in front of a crowd on the mic and clearly got on very well with the Vietnamese staff which is nice to see as I have been to other places where they seem to almost be separated and often disrespected. If there was ever a lull in excitement he and nai would be sure to introduce a game and get everyone involved. Doing the limbo with so many drunken travelers was hilarious 😂

The reception staff were great at organising activities... I was on a coach to the cu chi tunnels within a few hours of arriving in Saigon thanks to them and made the most of my 24 hours....

Loved it so much that I actually visited again for a second time in December!. If you don’t plan on actually sleeping In your bed because you’re too busy having a good time living it up in Saigon, Hideout is the perfect place (that was recommended to me by someone in Hoi An).

Nice place to stay if you like to be at the heart of town in a vibrant hang out area, where youngsters and tourists alike have fun all night 24/7
The hostel is well kept and the staff is kind.
The free beer is a nice touch.
While rooms are quite calm at the higher floors they might be noisy on the first and second.
Bunk beds are fitted with plugs and individual light.
Overall great value for money.

The Hideout is highly recommended for those looking for a budget stay. The toilets are well-maintained and the overall atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, ensuring a pleasant and relaxing experience for all guests. They have pub crawls starting at 11pm and one free beer every night

I've stayed in lot of hostels and in Vietnam staying here was the only bad memory I have of the trip. False marketing, they should update the information that after COVID they have changed the building and no longer has a rooftop bar neither does the pub crawl. The rooms and dorm bed is really small & cramped, no curtains for privacy. The atmosphere is not that great being a party hostel, there are far better options within this price range. Also due to a dispute with my roommates, they made me sleep in the reception area, rather than helping me and trying to understand my side of the story. They should've accommodated me some other dorm, I didn't pay to sleep in reception and feeling unsafe and unwelcomed.

I loved this hostel. Charming little bar, downstairs from the dorms and didn't get in the way when it was time to sleep. a free beer every night. A nice balcony with a table for work. There's still a movie session in a room to wait for checking time or for a day when you don't want to go out. They were also very kind, allowing me to take a shower and stay in the TV room after checking out while I waited for my flight. Gratitude and congratulations for your work. I recommend.

I enjoyed my stay here. Had a private room on the upper floor. There was no elevator, but that wasn't a problem for me. The room was nice with a small balcony, and looked clean. The hostel is quite lively. In the evening lots of people, also from other hostels, would be socializing in the bar area downstairs. Staff were very friendly, they booked an airport transfer for me. It's also possible to book busses and tours at the hostel.
Don't think they do pubcrawls anymore, like they used to in the past, would be nice if they start organizing them again.

Would definitely recommend the hideout! It is very clean and cheap! The people that run it are very friendly and welcoming. I came as a solo traveller and it was easy to socialise with the other guests there.

I booked the Cu Chi tunnel tour though the hostel and it was well worth the trip. You get the opportunity to shoot guns and the tour guide Eddie was brilliant! Hope you read this Eddie, you did a fantastic job!

Stayed for two nights! The hostel has no lift, room was on the 4th floor. The property is old and requires maintenance. Not the best place to stay but works for your basic needs. Only pro is the location as it is quite central. Had issues with WiFi, no water purifier.

Mouldy room with no windows - see pic.
They were playing very loud and outdated emo metal music. I asked them to turn the music down so I could have a conversation. In response the staff were very rude and turned it louder. When people speak a range of languages, sometimes it's nice early on in the night to have a reasonable volume of music.
