Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I spent a week here. Room was fine for one person - with 2 it would have been a squash. It was quite difficult to have a shower without washing the bathroom floor at the same time.
The breakfast was very good in terms of food - the chef cooks an excellent omelette. The service is a bit disorganised in terms of providing tea and coffee, clearing the tables. However, the staff are friendly and willing to help.
My only criticism is the level of English could be better. This is a 4* hotel in a major city so will attract a lot of visitors who will use English as their language of communication.

The hotel has a superb location. Walking distance to all the sites. My room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff was very welcome. They arranged a taxi from the airport to hotel and it was perfect to arrive so late and jet lagged not having to worry about a pick up. If you want to get the bus to the airport 109 yellow just turn right outside hotel after few meters it s the stop. It was ac bus, took about 25/30 minutes and cost only 20k with luggage.
Highly recommended

Stayed 4 nights in this well located hotel. Generally satisfied with my stay, hence a 4-star rating. Booked a premier deluxe room but found it rather small, with little storage space for clothes. Room was kept very clean and all equipment in room working. However, the shower curtain was too short, hence wet floor in bathroom after every use. Cleaners are polite and helpful though. Breakfast was reasonably good for the price. There us no spa in the hotel, despite it been listed in the website. Main complaint was the staff downstairs. They were not rude but can be better trained. It's my habit to invite some local friends to join me for breakfast. First morning, I invited 2 guests and, despite informing the staff that I would pay for the., they were stopped at the entrance and told in vietnamese that they had to pay. I had to intervene but it still took some time and embarrassment to get them in. A few minutes later, I was presented with the bill at the table. Surely they could wait until we were done. Adter breakfast, I wanted to pick up my case before leaving for a meeting with the guests. Again they were stopped although I told them it was just for a minute to pick up my bag. I understand the need for security but there was no flexibility. On another occasion, a friend, a local university professor, came to visit and she parked her motorbike at the basement. There she was rudely interrogated. I felt disappointed and embarrassed that my local friends were treated so badly. I would be hesitant to stay here again unless improvement in these areas are made. Overall, I like the cleanliness, security and location if the hotel.

The hotel is in easy distance of many things to see in the city so great location. The breakfast was fantastic, all fresh and tasty catering for many different styles. The pool is a welcome spot in the early afternoon when things are getting too hot to be a tourist in the city. The staff were very friendly and especially helpful in ensuring that we were able to retrieve my husband's phone which he left in a city taxi!!!

With all the good reviews about this hotel I decided to stay at the hotel. What a mistake. The breakfast was terrible, yet the reviews rave. The restaurant food was well OVERPRICED with child portions and long wait. Staff not very friendly and the paddling pool and patio is only good for 5 - 6 people. The Customer Service Department a TOTAL DISGRACE. They would not respond to any phone calls or e mails to them by myself or my booking agent. Was told one thing but all was just ONE BIG LIE. Everyone's review of hotels is how they perceive it but this hotel reviews please take with a pinch of salt.

Very nice place to stay and a good location only a 10 minute walk to the Independence Place and War museum. Room spacious and filled with a huge comfortable bed, one of the biggest I’ve had in a standard hotel room. Breakfast was also very good, all be it I has the Western option both morning. If you ask for a cappuccino you can also get this as part of your offering ftom the cafe bar in reception. The really nice touch was been offered the use of the gym room showers after we had checked out as we had 5 hours to explore Ho Chi Minh on our last day before we had to come back to collect our bags.

This luxury hotel was amazing. The location was central and the staff were incredibly anxious to serve, The room was clean and comfortable, the pool very nice, and the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious with a great variety, even yellowtail catfish! And the price won't break your budget. Orchids is very reasonably priced at about $45 a night. You can't even rent a camping spot in the US at that price!

Staff is very rude and impolite. Pretends that they don't understand anything and have to ask the manager, but the manager never works so you can't get an answer.
Pool area was boiling and can not be used. At least 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).
The gym is not a gym since it has no equipment. It has a treadmill. We had to check out earlier because it was so bad. We asked out first day if we could check out earlier but didn't get an answer.

When we checked out the hotel asked us on bookings chat why we checked out earlier. We answered below but didn't even get a reply. "We booked your hotel because of the pool area which looks really nice on the pictures you promote and partly for the gym. We arrived at midnight the 4th of January and looked at the pool area the next day. Unfortunately it was too hot go in there and very humid, it can not be used or promoted as a pool area since it is to hot to be there. We directly asked if we could check out some days earlier but didn't get an answer. We then asked again at the evening and was told we would get an answer the next day. We went and asked the next morning at 07.30 am but didn't get an answer. We came back at lunch time and got told that we couldn't check out earlier for different reasons. We then contacted Booking who contacted you, but you have not replied (bad service). The standard of the room was ok however the shower drain was clogged which lead to the bathroom floor being flooded so we couldn't shower. We have told the reception several times why we wanted to check out earlier but they don't seem to listen or care. We told you days in advance that we wanted to check out earlier but you didn't care about that. The check out process this morning was very bad. It took a very long time and the guy did not even ask a singe question about or stay."

Location was good and room was alright. However unfortunately there were three issues - 1) breakfast was very basic and not good for vegetarians. Need more options. 2) no free airport transfer offered. After travelling around Vietnam this was the first time we had this problem. When we contacted the hotel they wanted to charge 8x the amount a grab cost us. 3) finally on check out we were informed that one of our towels was ‘too dirty’ and we had to pay a fee as it couldn’t be washed. It had a little bit of make up on it… if they can’t wash make up off, I’m concerned what else is left on the towels. We eventually paid the fee after they ‘discounted’ it for us but we certainly wouldn’t stay there again. Reading other reviews we’ve seen were not the only ones who had this. My advice would be that okay to stay at, but not if you expect to use a towel. We’ve had such a lovely stay in Vietnam and this experience was a horrible way to end it.

There is a very nice entrance to the hotel and check in was smooth and efficient. The room itself was very clean and modern. All the amenities in the room worked well. One note and that is that the bathroom would benefit from a rail for the shower head rather than a fixed point holder, a minor point though.
The breakfast room was well appointed and seating was really well set out. The breakfast section was very impressive with the inclusion of an egg station. This hotel is really well located, not too close to the center and not too far away so benefiting from a quiet area.
All out interactions with the hotel staff were very positive.

basically it's a small area outdoor facing the street/parking lot for guest to relax. Some can read their books outdoor or have a drink while waiting for their friend. Some can have their food outside/dinning if they don't want room service in their room. It may have 4-5 tables with shade/umbrella. So this area is also OK with smoking?
