The hotel is along a narrow street and it rained heavily just as we arrived, and there was no shelter! We got rather wet. Fortunately there was a porter who helped with the luggage. There are many good eateries and convenience stores just outside the hotel. They upgraded our rooms for some reason, and I really liked our room view of the apartments opposite as well as a wonderfully ornate temple (forgot room number but it was 501 or 502). At night you can hear the devotees chanting but it's not loud (found it soothing), in fact at night there is a lot of activity along the street but it didn't penetrate the walls and I was not bothered at all and managed to sleep. I found it interesting being on a street like this where you can see the locals going about their daily life.

The bathroom design was not good, it is long and narrow and there is no place to hang your towel when bathing and you have to walk across the whole bathroom to the other end where the towel rack is, making the whole floor wet in the process. Also the dustbin is placed in front of the toilet bowl (nowhere you can move it) so when you're sitting on the bowl your knees are practically touching the dustbin. And although the dustbins (both in bathroom and room itself) are large enough, the plastic bags fitted in them are so small that you just need to throw a few items away and they're full.

There are nearby places you can visit like the central market, however we tried walking to the opera house to take the city tour and I found the distance rather far as I am physically not strong. When we were leaving they informed us our fridge was missing some coke and beer and wanted to charge us for it, but we hadn't taken it (we don't drink beer or coke). Fortunately the reception staff called his manager who said we didn't have to pay, but it was a bit upsetting. I would stay again, though, and recommend it to others.

Bell boys are helpful, smiley and friendly.
Reception desk is quick, helpful and polite.
Lobby is a bit dark (as the photo shown).
Staff at the restaurant should give a little bit more attention. The hotel provides buffet breakfast which is ok, a few options for both Asains and Westeners. We saw a waiter had some food behind the bar which was not so impressive (maybe he was late for work and it was his quick breakfast for the shift, if so, it could have been forgiven but he could have gone to the swimming area so he would not have been spotted by us or any others). Also, they don't tend to collect the plates oftenly after the guests have finished their food, we're not sure why!
Swimming pool is not really for swimming, so, don't expect too much. They could have made up the swimming pool area a bit then guests at least could have had a cozy place to chill.
The hotel itself is in the very busy area, you can find most of anything around such as: bars, restaurants, tourist offices, shops..., and the night walking street is only 5mins away!
They help keep the bags and stuff if you have a late flight, there's a toilet in the back of the lobby as well and that's really nice just in case you need it before eventually checking out.
We had wifi connection problem in our room on the 5th floor and though one of the receptionists tried to help, it didn't work. However, the room is clean, tidy. Shower works pretty well! Oh! Our shower towels had holes and they just looked aged but we didn't borther asking for changing. House keepers should have noticed this!
We also asked for a late check out and they just simply said yes as long as it's within an hour and we appreciated that so much.
Anyway, if you're looking for a hotel for one night before leaving HCMc, this one can be considered.

We have been to Ho Chi Minh City five times stayed at probably seven or eight different hotels. I recommend Nesta hotel near Ben Thanh market (room 906!!!) costs a little more but is well worth it. This place is okay if included as part of a tour, and I probably wouldn’t even upgrade from the windowless room that you will no doubt be allocated, the place is clean which is the main thing, service is pretty ordinary, and the breakfast is probably something you want to avoid which we did after the first day. On the closest corner to the street there is a bánh mì place that is beautiful and cheap - so skip the free Hotel breakfast. Obviously Vietnamese hotel rooms are pretty small, but this you can’t even open up your suitcase other than on the bed. Also do not believe the pool photos, I can assure you even if you’re keen to me you won’t end up swimming in the pool but doesn’t look anything like what’s in the photos. Hope this helps.

We are currently staying in this property. Because it was booked by the travel company or else we will never book this property by ourselves. The 2 rating is only for the restaurants close by. Location wise not happy because the hotel is inside the street. If you have luggages please do not look into this property since you have to carry them all by yourself walking approximately 5 mins inside from the main road. We had 3 luggage suitcase, one baby stroller and 2 checkin baggage. All had to be carried from the main road inside the street which is packed with restaurants on both the sides and people dining and watching you carry your luggage.

The room provided was too small. Dusty and have small flies around.
The toilet is glass door just like an office cabin. I feel i am in an office. That kind of feeling. It is not like a normal glass.

Very bad quality of bed sheet. No proper stand to keep the toiletries near to the shower. No hooks to hang our stuffs.

Not at all recommended to have a relaxing time after a hectic tour journey.

Only good thing i found was is just on the walking street area and have many dining options

Central location down a side street off a main road with little traffic. Located in district 1, it is a short walk to Binh Thanh Market and Bitexco Financial Tower.
Our room was well set out with windows to front of building. Not a room with a great view but a view of Bitexco in distance. There was a nice sized on-suite shower room separated by glass partition with good sized multi functional shower, basin and toilet.
Unfortunately, the en-suite was not clean, the shower unit was grubby with a discarded razor cover from previous occupant. The floor was grubby with no attempt to clean in the crevices where the glass partitions meet the floor.
Glass tables top in room had been wiped over, which then left with water marks making it appear dirty. There was a sticker on the wall, again left by previous guest and in the drawer, book of stickers matching that on wall and a dirty tissue.
Breakfast is served on top floor and served from 8am. We did ask for a slightly earlier breakfast 7.45am to be told no, breakfast is at 8am.
There is also a small pool on the top floor but given the lack of hygiene in our room, decided not to try this.

Room with a window was excellent, very clean, great location. Many cafe's in same small st. Rooftop pool is small but clean and we enjoyed cooling off throughout the day. Tried to book here for most recent trip but was booked out so book in advance.

Cannot fault hotel for price, location, pool, cleanliness & location.
However the photos are misleading on the web. The 04:00 wake-up call of hammering on the floor above us was miserable. The buffet breakfast was awful, we were first up at opening due to being woken at 04:00 and the hot food was barely luke warm.

I stayed in this hotel
Pros :
1. Excellent location - close to city center and the walking street
2. Good Breakfast options.
Cons
1. We had booked two double rooms and for some reason they gave us 1 single room and 1 triple room ??? maybe making the total same !!
2. Staff needs to improve on customer service right from reception to house keeping. When we informed that housekeeping had taken used towels but not replaced them, we were given towels in the reception just when we were going out and were asked to go keep them in our room ourselves !!

The advertised photos of this hotel made us really looking forward to this hotel, which was booked as part of our tour and we had a 3 nights here! We cannot complain about our room as was clean, light furniture and large windows. Our family weren’t so lucky their room was dark and small, two others on our tour actually had no windows and the smallest room, they checked out and went to another hotel!!
The pool is nothing like the advertised photos, very small and the area unloved with one worn sun bed and not much room if you need to relax to dry off and dead looking plants. More important you have to climb up a few small stairs to get to the area.
Breakfast is good but the area very cramped and busy for such a small space a nightmare to try and get food if you have a tour bus pick up!
The hotel staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful and added to the unpleasant stay. Our other two hotels booked through the tour company were a delight but wouldn’t book this hotel if had other choices!!!

Location is good but busy. Rooms without windows are full of mold and smelly. Room with window was fine for the price. The staff is very customer unfriendly and communicates very poorly. Where in Vietnam everyone is very nice and helpful, you will not get this treatment in this hotel. The hotel is outdated, but that is the case in many places in Vietnam. Not recommended!

Dear Kimmmy1986, Thank you for your question. Due to the limited space, we are able to provide two have sun loungers for sunbathing around the pool with a few chairs. Our Deluxe Double rooms are on floor 1 to 8. Those on floor 1 to 7 are classified as "Street View" and those on the floor 8 are classified as "City View". Best regards, Lenka Nguyen General Manager
Answer from Lenka V
Hi Jiyoung L, Thanks for your question. Breakfast is ready for service at 7 AM every morning. If you are on a tour starting at 7:15 AM, you can give us a notice on the previous day and we will ask the kitchen to prepare a take-away breakfast box for you on the following day.
