Thanh Lien is one of those ubiquitous Saigon hotels sharing the same template : narrow frontage, 7-10 floors high differentiated only by names, amenities and price. Located just a stroll away from the Ben Thanh market and all other major tourist spots are within a 15-20 minute walk away. Reaching the hotel from the airport was quite a challenge -...

Reception were very friendly and helpful, given that I paid £16 a night. The location is really central, very near Ben Thanh market and restaurants and shops. Breakfast was basic. Airconditioned room, tv, wifi. I moved onto another hotel I already had a booked in advance, which I stayed a few more nights!

It is 3-star hotel and not expensive. Free basic breakfast with bread, porridge or noodles. Good enough if you just want a place to stay and will be out the whole day shopping. Costs 140 for 2 night stay. The best thing is it is located near walking distance to Ben thanh market.

We booked 2 nights in this hotel and arrived around midnight from the sleeper bus on our first evening to be told that they hadn't received our booking so they needed to take us to another hotel. The other hotel was a 30 second walk away however I was annoyed at the situation as I had booked a fortnight before....

She said it was free for me to book. I checked in the next day, well would...

In July 2014 we spent one week at Thanh Lien Hotel. Being centrally located at Ben Thanh market , this hotel offers good opportunities to walk to nearby Saigon landmarks. For a highly competitive price, we really enjoyed our big room with a nice city view. While the breakfast was good, the hospitality at this hotel was most memorable. A...

It is very near Bien Than Market and good restaurants. The staff is very helpful in booking your day tours and other needs. The night market is a very short distance from the hotel. Prices are a bit higher than in Bien Than but it frees up your day for other activities. Bargain, bargain, bargain. Compare prices before you buy....
