The location is great - near shops and nightlife. Breakfast is adequate. The lady who runs the hotel is very friendly and helpful with directions, washing etc. The balcony room was very clean with a pleasant street outlook.
This place is behind Saigon Centre hence very close to Ben Thanh market and bars and restaurants. Please note that the 1st floor has dormatery and 1 room & 2nd and 3rd floor has rooms. So if you can climb stairs, you can opt for this place. The spread of breakfast is limited to of egg & Banh Mi which is served at 4th floor. I stayed in 302 which was clean, had good Wi-Fi. Bed linen and bathroom were clean & hot water with good pressure was provided. Important thing to note that they have 7 rooms and listing is only for one room. So don't be surprised if your room doesn't match with your listing. The host is a old lady who manage to speak English and she is responsive. Given the price I found this place overall a good stay.
My first impression on arrival was not good. The entrance was a single door to the side of a bar. A long corridor shared with stock from an electronics shop led us to the reception which was simply a desk. The walls on the staircase we dirty and needed a repaint. Our room was not ready so we were led up to the roof terrace to wait. No lift and the rooftop terrace was on the 4th floor. Our room was on the 3rd at the back, no window. Had I known I would not have booked. We had no idea if it was day or night. The plus side was that it was very quiet. The noise was terrible in town. Fortunately the room was in better condition than the common parts. The bed was rock hard. The sheets were not changed during our 4 night stay and had to ask for fresh towels. Ask for a kettle if you need one. Breakfast was fine and varied but simple. Bread rolls and jams, eggs, omelette, noodle soup with meat. The owner did not speak English so it was difficult to order. The location was perfect with so many places to eat nearby and a street market around the corner. Plenty of shopping malls. It was a bit of walk to the backpack area and Ben Thanh market in the sun. Would I stay again? I think not. For the price it was OK but I would stay in the same area but pay a little more to get a window, lift and linen and towels changed more frequently.…
We arrived late at night and had difficulty accessing the building. There is a narrow rollardoor next to a shopfront. This is closed after hours but fortunately some bystanders assisted us. We met with the owner who is a nice lady. We had room 201 with balcony. Basic but clean room. Bed was hard. The owner cooked up omelette for breakfast with a bread roll. Not sure if other breakfast is available. Location is excellent with shopping centres, restaurants, markets and landmarks within a short stroll.
I had a great stay! A simple guesthouse that’s clean. Great area, walking distance to everywhere. The lady who runs the place is really nice. I did the Vespa night tour (I highly recommend tour) and didn’t get back until 10:45pm and she was waiting for me. She locks the main door at night. I told her ahead of time so I never had any issues getting inside. I told her I was leaving very early the day I checked out and she made sure the main gate was unlocked for me. Just give her a heads up if you’re arriving late or leaving early and she’ll make sure you get in or out. This is a normal thing for guesthouses in Saigon. I’d stay there again
