I booked this hotel based on good rating on site. I’d also read many other reviews with low rating complaining about the unprofessional service of this hotel, but still decided to book a room here thinking it will be fine as some guests have highly rated. But the fact made me shocked. When I and my little daughter came, no one welcomed us (as other hotels often do), the bell man was standing inside talking with the staff and didn’t even say hi. The receptionist told him to lead us to our room. Upon going into the elevator, seeing me taking a large bag, he did not ask if he could help carry it for me. The room (ours is junior suite) is a little old, nothing special. Cleanliness is so so. There are two free bottles of water, two packs of coffee, two packs of tea. No snack or soft drinks on the table. I called the reception at 13h30 to send a technician to my room to fix the television but until we went out for dinner at 18h30, no one came. Next morning, we went down to the cafeteria for breakfast (including in our room booking). I saw there were many closed trays on the table, thinking there was morning buffet as I often have at other hotels, but there were nothing. Worse, a chef woman (middle age) said with annoying voice: “What do you think as looking for buffet here in this Covid season!” Nahhh, if you are in difficult situation (in fact all of us are facing it), I share with you, but not for that bad, impolite attitude. The only good point of this hotel is location near Ben Thanh Market, suitable for those who like night market. With such bad service and bad attitude of staff, I doubt if recent good comments on this site are real. Definitely do not recommend it for my friends!

When living in Vietnam this was my only choice in HCMC, close to the action, friendly staff and fairly priced. I would say that now they're lagging cheaper alternatives. There has been a flux of modern 3* and 4* hotels which are more modern and with cheaper prices. Silverland have a good number of properties and should refurb the rooms at this property so they don't lose touch with their rivals as their main market (Malay/Indo) is travelling less.

The staff are very rude (especially the one who takes the luggage and the reception) and the rooms have a very bad smell !!! I even noticed mold on their bed and cockroaches, just run away as fast as possible !! ....

We stayed at this hotel a few times before. Originally, we were supposed to travel to Vietnam from March 26 to April 17. Unfortunately, due to COVID19, we had to cancel our trip. They were very professional, and I definitely will stay at this hotel when I visit Vietnam in the future.

Travel agents recommended this hotel and the reviews on here looked pretty good so I decided to go ahead for a larger hotel in the central HCMC area. The lobby is very cold with over the top decor from god knows how long ago. The check in staff were fine. Our room was OK, just your run of the mill room from any 3 star hotel except there was a terrible mouldy smell. We asked to be moved but there were no other rooms left in the hotel. They promised to look for something else for us the next day. The bathrooms all have these massive ridiculous spa tubs that nobody would use with all the mould to be seen in the jets. True to their word, the front desk were very helpful in finding us and the other couple we were travelling with a new room the next day in a different tower. These were apparently a step down as our first rooms were JR. Suites and we were moved to the deluxe rooms. These rooms were bigger than the jr. suite and much nicer. I would highly recommend to avoid the jr. suite! Also, the room we had that was the junior suite was VERY noisy! Myself and the other couple hardly got any sleep the first night. The breakfast was ok. coffee was usually just Luke warm. The Pho was pretty decent but the rest of the buffet wasn't great. Location was good. We were here for New Years Eve. Tried to go to the roof top terrace but it was booked up. Went there for a drink and the wine we ordered was not chilled and despite my making sure it was very cold before she placed the order, they cam back to tell us it was not cold and would we like to order their very overpriced food while we wait. We said no, don't worry about it and decided to leave. The wait staff tried to tell us we couldn't leave without paying. We never received the wine and I explained that we made sure with the waitress that it was very cold before ordering and it isn't our fault we don't want to wait for another half an hour or so for it to chill. They tried to tell us that the waitress would have to pay for the bottle of wine out of her own pocket. That hardly seems fair. I don't know how that could be legal. I did feel bad but like I said, we did make sure it was very cold with her before even ordering.
