Hotel is 3 star and shows its, had a deluxe room facing the main road and river. Hard to sleep due to the traffic noise but once you get used to the noise its ok. Room was large with two single beds, bathroom needed a good clean with bleach and the shower curtain needed to be washed/soaked as it smelt like stale wee. Shower and bath combo and is very narrow, bath spout and shower head are placed in the worst spot. Staff were ok, could be a little more happier, three staff at front desk and not a smile between them. We were there with our tour group, so not booked by us, breakfast was included, not much of a selection when we stayed there. I would give it a miss or just have a baguette. Location was OK walking distance to some tourist spots. Aircon worked well enough. Housekeeping was OK. As I mentioned at the start, its 3 star and thats exactly what you get. Don't expect to much when you stay here, its just a place to sleep. The Hotel could really be amazing with just a good clean, better kitchen, happier staff and a coat of paint. You can see that it was a lovely hotel in it's day, but those days are well gone. Pity

It's an old building built in 1958, but it was very well-cleaned and clean. The view was nice from the window, but there was quite a lot of motorbike noise at night. The shower only had water no matter how long it took, so I contacted the front desk and they told me to put the handle on the left side so that the water would come out (note that this is the opposite to Japan). Also, the water pressure was quite weak. The room was so spacious that it was almost too spacious. I had my laundry done for three days, including my underwear, for just under 2,000 yen. The breakfast buffet didn't have many items. I asked for cleaning every day, and they did a pretty good job. The front desk didn't speak Japanese, but there were no problems with the translation. Other than the water pressure, I think it's a good hotel.

We stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour. The rooms were spacious and clean and the facilities were great. The hotel is situated on the Saigon river in District 1 and is close to many good restaurants and cafes. The staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

Do not trust the single 5* reviews or the pictures on the booking sites!
This is a tired old place. The "suite with riverview" I booked for $70/night was a larger room with a seating area and a partially obstructed riverview due to an ac unit. I could have done better for this amount.
But breakfast was ok and the restaurant staff friendly. Housekeeping did a great job at keeping the room tidy and the linen fresh.
The front desk person who checked me in obviously couldn't understand why a solo traveller would book a room that could sleep 3.
I would stay somewhere else despite the prime location.

At 7:15 this morning we were awakened by employees with an industrial sized vacuum cleaning the cushions on chairs in the floor's seating area. They couldn't have done this at say, 9:15 ? Or perhaps even noon ?
Breakfast was quite limited and not particularly good.
Rooms are alright but the bathrooms are basic, without even a toewl rod near the sink.
The bathrooms have been retiled but then fitted with the cheapest possible hardware, the shower pointing the wrong way, and we were not even given enough tp for 2 people, overnight.
Terrible.

A lovely old building overlooking the river but that’s where it ends. The Hotel is very tired and old, the room is very basic (although clean).
A request for a one hour extension to check out was met with a charge of 50% of the room rate. I told them not to bother, why would you even think about charging this amount for one hour. A very poor customer experience I thought.
Next time in Saigon, I’ll look elsewhere.

I’ll try & say something positive…. The omelette was nice along with the coffee. Thats it!

The rooms were seriously old, dated, mouldy, and smelt musty. The bathroom was atrocious.

The staff were disinterested, not that helpful and at times rude.

The laundry cost 475,000 for 3 pairs of undies, 2 ankle socks, 1 singlet, I pair of pants and a T-shirt! The most expensive rip off service!

Would never stay here again & would recommend for anyone to look elsewhere to stay.

Visited this hotel on a tour, starting in the south and heading to the north. Vietnam had only just reopened following covid, the hotel was extremely quiet with limited drinks at the bar and roof top closed due to lack of tourism. Having said that the staff were very friendly and did everything to make us feel welcome.

Bathroom was tired and required redecorating but understandable due to the lack of tourism and the price of the room.

Okay if you are on a budget!

Old, dirty and tired. This was booked as a part of a package holiday. Upon entering the room the curtains were closed. A word of advice, keep them closed. The view was of a rickety roof looking onto the impoverished doors of the rooms on the other side of the hotel. Staff were friendly and the hotel was in an excellent location. After accidentally getting off on the wrong floor I went to what I thought was my room. The key opened this room.

Thanks! I actually heard back from the hotel with answers to my questions. Breakfast starts at 6 and double bed isn't a problem. Also, when I booked the room through Agoda, the site/voucher warns about Vietnamese law that forbids non married Vietnamese nationals and foreigners staying in hotel together. That is a legitimate law.

The were many restaurants that serve foods and beverages just around the block, or within 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
