Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place was much worn from compared to the internet pictures. Kinda like a ten year old fifteen pounds lighter internet dating profile picture. Things got off to a good start with the desk man laughing in my face for being so stupid as to reserve a family room as a solo traveler. I politely informed him that I made the selection as I wanted a balcony. Reply: “oh we don’t have that room available”. My dismayed question as to why they had then confirmed my reservation was met with a short rude response-“then you can just cancel”. Super 5:30pm, tired dragging my bags. Sounded like a great option. Sadly all my entreaties for peace and let’s start over we’re met with rude looks and rude mutterings under his breath. I suppressed my and kept up the diplomacy and negation campaign. Ended up just cutting my loses and taking a cheap dumpy room there for one night. I haven’t been treated that way at a hotel since, well I have no idea, if ever.

I chose this hotel since it looks nice and has good reviews. I had booked the room for day use only on July 4th. When I came to check in, the reception said rooms were over and it was his manager’s mistake, he could not do anything else and he did not take any responsibilities in this issue. We made an argument loudly. He even screamed out at his clients rudely. It’s unacceptable. Never stay again!!!

The hotel is conveniently situated at one end of the old quarter.. so easy enough to walk to the buzzing part of town or either of the 2 lakes (in 2 diff directions) . The breakfast spread is amazing for the price. And it was very easy communicating with the staff before our arrival - including a last minute change in airport pick up time.

Every time we went back there we were feeling like at home. Good excursions and great breackfast. I definitely suggest to stay there if you want to visit Hanoi and sorroundings.

We had a lovely stay in a spectacular suite on the top floor of this well-positioned hotel. The beds and furnishings were the most comfortable we encountered during 3 weeks in South East Asia, and the bathroom was positively luxurious. The most wonderful aspect of this hotel, however, is its amazing and energetic staff. We were welcomed with the most gracious service and kindest regard we could ever have wanted. It was a wonderful place to end our stay in Vietnam, because we left with such a powerfully positive impression of local hospitality.

After all it's the people as much as the place that makes a great stay. 3B Hanoi is both. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves and the staff were super helpful. Jenny is worth a mention. She went out of her way to make our hotel home.

We stayed 3 nights booked online instead of tour accommodation as larger rooms. We got a 2 bedroom family unit. Had kitchen bathroom with bathtub and on 8th floor. Staff were great. Included breakfast included buffet and cook to order - western and local foods. We had eggs pancakes bacon crossiants fruits etc. And good coffee to start our day. Close to everything but not in middle of tourist zone so felt way more authentic. Very safe area and quiet room.
