I last reviewed this holtel in 2017. Nothing has changed. It's a typical budget hotel the likes of which can be found all over the Old Quarter. Its dated & poorly maintained but clean enough and perfectly fine for budget travelers who only require accommodations for a night or two. On a more positive note: *The air-conditioning, hot water, refrigerator and Wi-Fi all worked fine. *The staff were super friendly and helpful. *The walk-in rate was only 400,000 VND, the cheapest price I've paid in the post COVID era.
Its my second time in hanoi, the hotel location near from everything. Many places that you can reach by foot. Convenience store, cafe, money exchange (with the very good rate), restaurant, nightlife cafe, hoa kim lake is surrounding the hotel. Inside the hotel, you'll be welcoming by pleasant staff, big smile and they will help you enough. The hotel provide 1 lift to get to your room, breakfast in first floor, behind the lobby. Breakfast is worthed, a few kind of fruits, toast, small cake, coffe or tea and the best part is you can chose the main course, such as pho, eggs, even a pancake with topping. The room is nice, clean, but a little smelly (i think because the moist and after i open the window, the problem is solved). The bathroom is clean too, nothing to complain. All the equipment is working, also the price in refrigerator is cheap enough. We stay 5 night, they not change our linen ( not even once). They provide you amenities, but not everyday, from 6 day, they only give 4 times. Overall, its a good place to stay, closed to perfect. …
Hotel location in the center of old quarters Room very clean and big enough Nice view.... Staff was very friendly Very good service Breakfast was very delicious Simon will help you all you need .........
When we arrived in Hanoi, we didn't know much about Vietnam. The hotel took good care of us, and they were all extremely helpful. Even in subjects you could't expect them to concern about. They really wanted us to have a good trip in Vietnam. We still have contact to the manager since he wanted to help us with anything further on in our travel through Vietnam, even though he knew we wouldn't come back to Hanoi again. The manager speaks almost perfect english. The rooms were nice and the breakfast gave us a good start of the day. The hotel is in the old part of town, which means there are a lot of small shops just outside the door. There were also a market every weekend, and a lot of different places to eat. You could pick any kind of food from very local vietnamese food to pizza and burgers the european / american way.…
We extended our stay here to about 10 days as we were made to feel like family. The price is excellent value as the building in so central in the Old Quarter. Tony and Simon were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and clean and include a delicious breakfast to start the new day and adventure. Stay a while here, you won't be sorry
I and my family stay here few days It good Hotel the best location Breakfast very nice , staff very helpful they can help you all think I would like recommend this Hotel to everyone. Thanks for all 🤗🥰
An simple, modest and clean accommodation for the budget traveller. It's in the centre of the hustling Old Town so all you need to do is to step out! The lake, the church, the markets are all within a 5-minute walking distance. The front desk staff is very helpful. They helped me rent a bike. The hotel offers laundry service, concierge and free breakfast as well. We loved the value-for-money stay.
Frankie Spa is located within the hotel. It is run by two lovely ladies who do nails (Miss Yen) and massages (Miss Linh). Both are very competent and skilled. My female friends (3 of them) had Yen do pedicures and nails. Yen uses high quality polishes and shellacs. Much better than the girls got elsewhere on this trip. The polish and shellacs didn't peel under the Hanoi climate in early July. We all had various massages administered by Linh over a couple of days. I had several 90 minute sessions that removed the knots and other problems in my legs and shoulders. I'd recommend Linh's strong oil massages. Prices are reasonable and are value for money. A shower is available. We all highly recommend Frankie Spa. Will definitely revisit next time we are in Hanoi.
The hotel has everything you can expect, and is very well located. Furthermore, the manager is very kind and will help you book all kinds of activities you may need: trips, taxis, buses, trains... In our case, he even helped us change the dates of our buses when needed. PS: the breakfast is great, we loved the pancakes.
I had a very nice stay at the Gia Thinh. The staff were friendly and professional, helping me finding my way around and cutting me some good deals (very useful when traveling alone) The breakfast was great! From my room i couldn't hear the sounds from the streets of hanoi, which made it easier to sleep. Clean. All in all, a very good experience.
