I was in the middle of a haphazardly-planned Indochina trip with a friend, and when we found that all the affordable rooms at the Old Quarter Hostel (which she had heard good things about) were booked up, TripAdvisor pointed me here. Without too much hesitation, I booked our first couple of nights here. My first impression was that the rooms...

This location is perfectly located in the middle of Old Quarter and only a few blocks off the main road. For the price, approx. 23-36 USD per night including breakfast (the omelet is delicious), it is excellent value for money. I especially enjoyed the city view rooms - they are spacious with a window looking out. It is an older...

Loaction is central too all the great things in Hanoi right in the centre of the old Quarter. The staff are very friendly. They are very helpful of places to go and things to do. The staff go way beyond any other staff in any hotel in Vietnam. Tony Phuong the owner is fantastic in organising tours anywhere in Vietnam....

Stayed here for two night. Room was small, cosy and clean, staff are very nice. Only downside is that the walls are paper thin. Other than that it's a great choice, I would definitely come back again!

During my trip, i stayed here 3 different nights. For the price you pay, this hotel is a great bargain. If you ate using vega tours, this hotel is literally across the street. If you are using indochina adventure tours, they are a 5 minute walk down the street. The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. Much more so...

I love staying at Gia Thinh Hotel. The staff are like family. The location is fantastic - right in the centre of the Old Quarter within easy walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are spacious, clean & inexpensive. Tony Phuong is always helpful and knowledgeable with all of my travel & tour arrangements throughout the whole of Vietnam....

Everything is comfortable as my house. Service staffs s very friendly and enthusiastic. Living space is beauty and airy. Around the hotel there are many famous tourist attractions. The food is delicious and cheap.

There must be dozens of similar hotels in the Old Quarter. I booked this one through Booking.com for a little over $20 USD per night including breakfast. That's just about as cheap as it gets for a hotel in this part of Hanoi. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was cleaned daily and two complimentary...
