Spent 2 nights there and were quite happy with the room and the service. We loved Hanoi ! It's a busy city and this hotel is near everything. Connected with a new friend we'd met on a boat trip on the Mecong River, so we got to see several very interesting places with him.

We arrived to this hotel and booked one night with an option for a second night (we told them we would let them know in the morning) . 10 minutes before 12 they tell us our room is already booked and we need to leave. They could have asked us if we were staying another night but whatever. The worst...

I like the location although it took several minutes for the taxi driver to know where it is. I like that other attractions are just a walking distance. The manager, Mr. Thanh is very accommodating. Hs wife even drove me around the city to look for Ban com.

Back in Hanoi for second time in 2014. As in the past booked into Lucky 1 but they were full. Accepted an offer of accommodation at same rate in Lucky 3. Spent two nights there and it was very nice, much newer than the Lucky 1. Whilst everthing was fine I much prefer the Lucky 1 and moved there once...

Imagine this. Approaching a hotel receptionist, straight from an overnight trip, desperate for a shower and being the given opportunity to rent a room by the hour!!! It was all very innocent. The hotel staff are extremely helpful, also stored luggage, and were able to book us in at short notice. A lovely breakfast was provided. Very good value for...

This hostel is relatively basic but very clean and more than you would expect for the price. The location is excellent, just down the road from another large backpackers hostel. The thing that really sets this place apart from other places we looked at, we're the staff. Unusually for Vietnam, the staff speak excellent English and we're incredibly helpful. They...

The hotel was basic but with everything what we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We could storage our luggage at the hotel during our trip to Halong Bay. When we came back we wanted to stay another night but unfortunately the hotel was full. The staff helped us with finding a new hotel. Even when we booked it by...

Good location, near lake, over priced...well to me anyway as I did not have the energy to barter with the desk clerk. They pull down the Metal shutters just after midnight , so if you have a late night you have to bang on the shutters to alert the sleeping night clerk. The room I had was $25 ,it was shabby,...

My wife and I stayed here for some six nights, the hotel is clean, modern, airconditioned, it has a PC in the room (free wifi), the price included breakfast, we could not fault the hotel at all. All of the staff were most friendly, especially the girl and young nineteen year old (night shift guy) they could speak pretty good...

Perhaps I am naive, but it never occurred to me that hotels would place reviews to bump up their ratings. However, after staying at the 47 Ngo Huyen location, there is no other explanation for the positive ratings. The walls and carpets are filthy. The majority of the staff ignore you unless they are trying to sell you something. The...

“avoid this place,if you must stay here then negotiate the rate from the onset, cross the T's and dot the i's...like everything in Vietnam.I quickly realised you don't accept the first price quoted from hotel staff. A better Idea would be to board a plane to Thailand where at least they are tourist friendly.”
