The hotel rooms are larger and cleaner than other boutique hotels where I’ve stayed in old Hanoi. Quadruple room for 2 adults and 2 children. Excellent service. Good breakfast options. Reliable airport transfers.

It s an amazing hotel. Nice receptionist, services are fine. I stayed in a quiet place but there were noise around because the door is not anti-noised one. Definitely will come back next time. Suitable for short stay

A basic stay with comfort. Remember there are no smoking rooms in this hotel.
Buffet breakfast is as usual.

English speaking service people as not much to be found. Keep the google translator handy.

Otherwise a good sleep and clean hotel iwth plus is its location.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. Location is perfect and we even got upgraded to the Suite. Our room was quite spacious and clean. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. They even had vegetarian options in their breakfast. We had a very pleasant experience altogether.

Great value for money if your looking for somewhere to stay in Hanoi on a budget. Rooms very clean although a little dated, but you can’t complain for the price you pay. Staff were excellent, very helpful and attentive. Laundry service was great, and very good value.

The Dragon Pearl is well situated just on the outskirts of the Old Quarter in Hanoi offering comfortable and generously sized rooms with all the amenities you would expect. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, flat screen TV, safe, fridge, complimentary tea, coffee and water replenished each day. A great walk-in shower room with complimentary shampoos and lotions, the list goes on. Daily breakfast, which catered for Asian and European tastes, was included in the rack rate and if you were going out early bagged meals were provided. Laundry services were available for a few dollars and the hotel also provided spa treatments and its own trip planning and booking service. It really is all under one roof.

The Staff were exceptional from Linh who oversaw the Breakfast offerings to Lihn, May and Ann who manned the front desk and arranged all the trips and visits. Although trips booked via the Hotel were a little more expensive than those offered in the myriad of “Travel Agents” down town, those few extra pounds really guaranteed a first class experience, far too many of those down town establishments offer a very poor service and add on spurious charges which inflate the original cost.

Nothing was too much trouble; they arranged taxi’s and train tickets and advised what a taxi fare should cost etc. One thing I did like was that everything was added to the bill which was cleared on the last day, all very transparent and explained in detail, no digging around in your pocket every five minutes.

We booked two of their large suites, probably the best rooms in the place and the cost per day was less that you would pay for a cheap B&B in, well, pick a place.

Highly recommend visiting Vietnam, it is an amazing place and highly recommend the Dragon Pearl or one of its sister hotels if you are basing yourself in Hanoi

The hotel is reasonably priced with great old quarter location and first class rooms. The staff are so very helpful and friendly. Wether you want a tour in sa pa or plane tickets the staff will arrange it for you. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hanoi.

First, I did not stay the night at this hotel. So, my rating is based off of front end service. Upon getting out of taxi l had large bags, no one came to assist. They ask for my name and copied my passport. After I waited around 15 minutes to be told the room was not available and the hotel was full. Next, the receptionist start telling me this long story about how the window was broken in the room due to heavy rains. So, l am thinking this is something he is making up. Next, story it was three rooms also was wet. They wanted me to take a motor cycle taxi to another hotel with 2 large bags, crazy. I refused. Also, he instructed me to cancel my reservations on Booking website. I refused. Finally, he instructed me to reply to the Booking email that l did not stay at the property. So, they knew they over booked the room and did not want Booking agency to know this practice. I think this in a normal practice at this hotel. Today, l noticed the room, I booked for $26 is now $112 on Booking. Finally if you book a room here at a reduce and they can rent it for more money you will be out in streets. Please report on Booking by pressing “ Yes I stayed at the property.” You will be linked to dropped down list and check “Property was overlooked and l was not accommodated."
